This Isn’t Your Average Country-Style Tiny House And You’ll See Why

Sharing is caring!

I never thought of raising hens and planting my own garden, but I guess I am finally at that stage.

And it’s all because I saw a tiny house that would be perfect for country life.

No, I don’t mean farm life. Real, country life with a small house, a garden that would fit my needs, a yard where I could grow flowers, and a place where my kids could have a nice childhood.

A place from my dreams… And it’s just a couple of scrolls away!

The Perfect Peacefulness

Serenity. Peacefulness. Tranquility. Stillness.

No other words could describe this tiny house.

It’s the perfect little white house at the end of the road and village, bordering with forest, and locking eyes with people passing by.

It’s a place where mom would come out on the front porch in her floral apron, calling kids for supper, and welcoming husband from his lumberjack undertakes in the woods.

Oh, I guess I’ve been reading way too many historical novels with such background.

Truth be told, this tiny gem is only country-style-looking on the outside. The pristine white wood siding and white doors and windows are hiding a secret that’s a bit darker on the inside.

Well, the darker secret is just using black as the featured color in the entire place. Although I’m a fan of bright colors and pastels, and I strongly believe even black can provide a homey atmosphere. And this tiny house is the right proof of it.

Trendy, matte black kitchen cabinets combined with the exact same dining room table and chairs create a scene that belongs in the pictures of any great interior design magazine. The style almost clashes with industrial, but thanks to the general house design, it’s still welcoming and heartwarming.

One Big Happy Room

Back in the day, houses weren’t that big, and people used to have it all in one room. It was the open concept before the open concept.

But, that was done because the economic situation was poor. Today, we choose the open concept because it’s: a) trendy and b) looking great in the space.

This small house has a bedroom area right in the same room as the kitchen and the dining table.

Does it look weird?

Absolutely not because everything follows the same, matte black color scheme. The black steel frame of the bed and the bedding clash with white wood planks on the walls, creating an evergreen contrast. Black and white will never go out of style.

The bathroom hopped on the band wagon too!

To be honest, I expected black or white tiles. The smokey grey surprised me, but I see now why they chose it. The black hardware, the shower, the mirror, and the vanity are so much more effective than just using contrasting tiles.

Speaking of the vanity… If you look closer, you’ll see it’s actually a part of the old Singer sewing machine. How cool is that? I haven’t seen a cooler deal in a while. It really impressed me.

A nice addition to a relatively modest house is the sauna, accessible right through the bathroom. This gives the simple house the much-needed edge so it can be used as a getaway place too.

So many contrasts in such a small house! I didn’t really expect such a surprise inside. I was thinking shabby chic, and I got a modern cottage with trendy features and a color combination that will never go out of style.

Could this still be a lovely country home with a garden and everything?
