There’s a cyclops in the woods of Gold Bar Washington, and it’s watching you.
The mythical creature with one eye is watching closely as nature enthusiasts move around, mess with it, and come for memorable adventures.
Who would want to go on an adventure with a Cyclops? Aren’t the… dangerous?
Well, this one isn’t, because this cyclops is a tiny house, a cabin inspired by the real creature.
And I see where the cabin got its name!
Inspired by the giant round window on the side, the cabin was named after one of the scariest beings from Greek mythology. But, the house isn’t even half as scary as the name suggests. This cabin is a place where you can have a cozy Washington getaway with no questions asked.
The dark wood exterior only adds up to the mystical side of the cabin, while the cabin and the porch calm you down, promising a homey atmosphere.
And it is definitely cozy and inviting inside.
At first, the cabin looked a bit ominous. But, that was just my silly brain because the cabin, from another angle, looks super enchanting.
There’s a fire pit area and a small porch with a couple of chairs where you can unwind at the end of the day. The rustic charm is sprinkled everywhere, but the interior is pretty natural and contemporary-oriented.
I bet the scents inside are simply wonderful! The natural wood siding and the smell of wood-burning fireplace create the idyllic cabin experience. By adding a modern grey sofa with a pop of color on throw pillows the cabin became more vibrant and alive.
Since it’s a tiny cabin, the rooms are all open space and the transition between them is almost non-existent. Where the living room ends the dining area starts with the kitchen continuing in the back.
For a rather small house, this kitchen is a decent size and I’m loving the choice of colors for cabinets! Adding color in spaces that have wood all over the place allows you to play with styles. The turquoise cabinets make this part of the house a bit retro and that’s exactly what the place needed.
A twist… an edgy approach since it already had some edge on the outside.
The eye of the cyclops watches over the woods and you see nothing but greenery. Talking about a view that relaxes your eyes!
The eye window is right next to the ladder that leads up to the bedroom loft. Of course, most tiny cabins have lofts for bedroom areas and that’s such a smart solution. You get creativity points, it’s practical, and you can maximize the space usage inside the cabin!
There’s nothing but the bed and the window up there and I just know that guarantees the best night of sleep you had in years! I’d love to wake up to such a view with nothing but the peacefulness of the trees before my eyes.
The Cyclops works its soothing magic and, at the end of the day, there’s nothing scary about it but the name.
I guess even things with one eye can be tamed.
