Isn’t it the wish of all water lovers to have a house by the river? It certainly is, especially on hot summer days. A small cabin in the middle of nowhere is something that we have to experience at least once in our life. I already see my friends and me here playing cards!
This magical place is the perfect choice to return to nature and reconnect with your loved ones. The nature around the house gives so many opportunities. You can swim, work out, fish, drive a boat or simply enjoy.
The Sparkling Lights Are Calling Your Name
First thing first, the cabin is made of wood, which perfectly fits with the nature around it. A large terrace is in front of it, which descends almost to the river.
Also, there is a small outdoor fireplace in the corner of this marvelous terrace, perfect for baking marshmallows. Like when we were kids, we made up stories while sitting around the fire and baking cookies. Memories that have no price!
The light bulbs lined up across the terrace give this whole setting a special charm. It’s always a good idea to have unusual lighting because details like lighting make a space special and give it personality.
Your first neighbor is across the river, so privacy is guaranteed!
You don’t want to forget the mosquito spray if you come here in the summer!
Wooden Accent That Creates The Special Feel
Wooden ceilings throughout the house and this one wooden wall in the living room are perfect decorative details.
This nature seen through the window seems to me like a work of art on the wall, doesn’t it?
The furniture in the living room is stylish and modern. The green color of the sofa and the material from which the armchairs are made fit perfectly into the atmosphere of the whole ambiance of this home.
Such carpets are decorative but also very cozy. Believe me, you feel as if you are walking on clouds when your feet fall into the carpet. Plush pillows and soft carpet make this home exude comfort.
Glossy Appliances, Open Shelves, And More
This green-gray color of the cabinets definitely adds a special effect to the kitchen. With its big, white island, it’s definitely the center of the cabin!
There is enough space for preparing delicious meals on white surfaces. It is not said for nothing that love enters through the mouth, right? But, I would like to add a hood here. It is not good for food smells to spread around the house.
The white fridge with a water dispenser is a great addition. There is never enough place to cool drinks and fruit on hot summer days. This fridge can also make ice. A real hit!
The Loft You’re Gonna Love
Like every small house, this one has its own secrets. And that is – an extra place for sleeping above the kitchen (only if you’re not claustrophobic).
There is also an extra storage place inside the wall. I like it!
Wardrobes and commodes, as useful as they are, take up space. For small houses to be functional it is very important to use every inch of space. And, that’s the advantage of plan design.
Wall Nooks Straight From Fairytales
A mixture of Narnia and Harry Potter, that’s what these wall nooks are all about.
When I was little, my brother and I used to crawl into tiny nooks in our grandma’s house and pretend play we were in a cave. Such fun times!
A Bathroom Like No Other
Glass shower with a place to sit? And, shelves into the wall? Nice idea.
The color combination of tiles in the shower is simply perfect. Although black isn’t my favorite color for the bathroom, the unusual shape of the tiles simply amazed me.
Something that will certainly not be unnoticed is the shape of the mirror and the lighting. So unusual, and modern and makes this small bathroom luxurious.
Waking Up With The View
A fast bath in the hot tub and straight to bed!
Then, in the morning, you’re woken up by the first signs of the day, birds happily chirping in the woods, and the sound of nature waking up. The view is worth a million and definitely the best part of this bedroom.
Enchanted By The String Lights
Except that it is refreshing to spend summer days by the water, winter nights here have their own charm. As a child, I always imagined that the river would freeze over and that I would learn to ice skate.
What each of us needs is an occasional escape from everyday chores and pressures. When your escape takes you to this magical place, you’ll want to run away more often.
