Wake up the loner wolf inside you!
How many times did you wish to escape reality and have a couple of days just for yourself?
I know, a lot.
It’s not that I don’t love my job or my family, but everyone needs some quiet time once in a while.
Everyone needs to hide for some time to recharge batteries and rejoin the pack in perfect condition.
And everyone could use a spot like the Wolf Den in Vashon, Washington!
The place looks like it was built for real lone wolves with its ominous black exterior and the wood around it. Truly, if wolves had homes, this would be one of them.
Just imagine walking around the woods and stumbling upon a tiny cabin like this, all black and in the middle of nowhere. I kinda believe it was purposely built this way to retract nosy hikers and make them think it’s not safe to be around because the wolf might return.
A closer look at the Wolf Den tells us that not everything is as scary as it may look. This wolf staying in the cabin loves hot baths outside, grilling, and just chilling out on the porch. I guess it’s quite a mellow wolf, isn’t it?
I bet the inside of the cabin is more welcoming than the outside. It’s quite an honor to have the wolf invite you in and welcome you into his home.
Once again, I was right. I mean, I’d do the same thing with the dark exterior and keep everything nice and cozy on the inside. No one needs to know what the black facade is hiding.
The living room area is spacious and bright, with a comfy-looking sofa, a unique coffee table, and a gorgeous view of the woods outside.
Channeling your inner wolf means you should spend some time talking to yourself, putting your needs first. What better way than staying off the grid and far from civilization perks like the TV?
The Wolf Den is truly a den in terms of size, so don’t expect any more spacious rooms. Even the kitchen isn’t a kitchen, but a kitchenette with a small dining nook by the door and some bar stools.
The contrasting colors of deep wood and black details have worked their magic and created a modern atmosphere inside, something you wouldn’t expect from such a building.
The bathroom is also in contrasting colors, the evergreen black and white with bigger pieces in white like the vanity, and details in black such as the tiny rug or the shelves. Honestly, I would love to see more black hardware in this bathroom because I think that would be so nice and trendy.
The only room on the loft, right up those ladders, is the only bedroom in the cabin.
There’s just enough room to squeeze in a comfy bed and nothing else is needed. The cathedral ceilings allowed this cabin to have a bedroom loft, the snuggliest area in the house.
I just love how the bed is showered with light coming from that ceiling window! And I bet it smells wonderful up here with all that natural wood siding on the ceiling.
The Wolf Den is such a magical place to be. You can scream at the top of your lungs aau and no one will hear you.
So, unleash your inner wolf and let it roam freely in this modern den.
