Rustic Log Cabin Is The Ideal Weekend Getaway You’ve Been Looking For

Sharing is caring!

A few years ago, when someone mentioned staying in a cabin in the woods, I was always against it. Too many horror movies, if you ask me.

But then, I grew older, I grew wiser, and I realized what a hilarious fool I was. There’s nothing spooky about those little log cabins in the middle of the pristine nature. In fact, now I find them quite charming.

Staying in a place where you can get in touch with unspoiled nature, breathing in the crispy air, and feeling how stress escapes your body is just what I need. It’s just what everyone needs!

Hidden away in Blue Ridge, Georgia, there’s a cabin I only saw in my dreams. It’s my perfect weekend getaway, and I’m sure it could be yours too!

Oh, who am I kidding? It’s a place where I’d gladly move to live if only my local coffee shop could come too!

At first, you’d think it’s in the middle of nowhere, right at the end of the road. But, this sweet little retreat was strategically placed there to help you feel like you’re at the end of the world, looking at the world beneath you.

The first thing I see, and already like, is the sitting area in front, right next to trees. You can admire the beauty of the cabin while looking at tiny forest creatures sneaking around, intrigued to come over and check you out. I bet the cutest squirrels live here and I’m a sucker for squirrels!

I love the outside but know I’ll love the inside even more. For starters, as soon as you enter, you’re greeted by the warmth from a nice, big fireplace. I feel the smell of the fire mixed with leather couches, pine wood wall paneling, and a smoking hot meal bubbling on the kitchen stove.

Sometimes it’s not about the looks; but instead the feeling you get when you enter a room. For me, smells are important, and this open-concept living room and kitchen smells like coziness. It smells like home.

Although you’re typically in the middle of nowhere, and the whole house looks very rustic, it’s still fully functioning, with all modern appliances to ease your living there. Bear in mind that it’s still a rather small cabin, but it has plenty of sitting places to entertain, share delicious meals, and feel comfortable.

I have one more thing to add: Spending Christmas holidays here, as snowflakes sprinkle outside, and your loved ones are nestled by the crackling fire, sounds like a real-life fairytale!

This sweet getaway offers the ideal hideout for eight people. You can absolutely come here with your partner for a romantic weekend. Or, if you love having fun, gather your best friends for an adventure you’ll never forget.

All bedrooms look like they were frozen in some other time, with classic beds, comfort guaranteed, and homey decorations.

Okay, I can smell this room through the screen. And it smells like the essence of the forest.

Let’s just say this is a master bedroom because it’s got the best view in the house.

As the dawn creeps over the horizon, this bed will snatch you in and stop you from ever getting up. Just lay back and enjoy the scenery before you.

The number one problem all cabins have is the lack of natural light. It’s absolutely normal for such houses to be a bit gloomy considering the material used to build them. I don’t see that problem here. Every room gets plenty of sunlight. Even the two bathrooms!

Still, I guarantee you won’t be spending too much time in bedrooms, other than sleeping, and I have a good reason to be sure. It’s the outdoors that’s calling, insisting on spending more time outside.

The biggest feature of this house is hidden from the peering eyes of hitchhikers that wander by and birds from the trees. It’s the modern hot tub, hidden under the deck, a dash of luxury! I mean, who wouldn’t mind soaking in it after a long day of hiking in the woods?

The outdoor design of the cabin is completely focused on sitting areas, decks, balconies, and enjoying the view.

And you have to agree: the view is phenomenal!

Whether it’s summer and you want to enjoy a little backyard bonfire with your friends, roasting marshmallows and singing along with the guitar, or it’s winter and you need that extra coziness, the Blue Ridge log cabin is there for you.

It will always be there for you because time spent here sticks with you forever.
