Beautiful landscape around you, rolling hills, animals gazing by peacefully… Yes, that’s what you get when staying at the Five Acres.
Not only one, but three tiny farmhouses await you eagerly to check them out, and maybe even stay for the night.
It all started a while ago when a couple, Rom and Katie, felt like they should make something incredible on the piece of land they bought.
Fast forward a while into the future, and a micro farm was born, along with three tiny farmhouses that can be rented: Barley, Clover, and Rye.
The houses came as an inspiration, a result of love for the nature surrounding them.
Even if you’re not a huge outdoorsy type, you’ll definitely become one after spending some time in these tiny, but sweet buildings.
Ready for a change of heart?
Barley+Clover+Rye= Perfection!
Technically, it’s a cabin. But, it’s also a modern beach shack.
I’d say it’s a lovely little retreat for a single person or a couple.
All three houses, Barley, Clover, and Rye, were designed with earthy colors that make the atmosphere heartwarming, welcoming, and relaxing.
I’m a visual person and when I see pretty pictures, I’m already sold. Needless to say, when I saw the Instagram feed of the Five Acres, a mini farm where the tiny houses are nestled, I was blown away. Can you fall in love with an Insta feed? I guess so!
Even though my colors are white, beige, and pastels, I can’t help myself but to squeal over these color combinations. I love it when they use wood panels instead of regular paint on the walls. Not only does it work as an insulation, but it also adds bonus, trendy points.
To define the style of all three houses would be too much. There’s a bit of modern, retro, industrial, boho, and whatnot there. And, to be honest, I love it!
What The Birds See
The cabins are tiny, but provide plenty of space to feel comfortable and relax on your little getaway trip.
Seeing them from the bird’s point of view, I can’t help but come to the conclusion they’re pretty much the same. Only a couple of differences here and there distinguish one from the other.
Keeping It To Yourself
These three cabins might be close, but they still offer plenty of privacy for people staying in them. The deck is tucked in a bit, so you can sit down and catch some sun rays without being seen by your next-door neighbor.
Romantic Weekend Material Right Here
Privacy is highly important when you’re staying at such places, especially because the windows are big, without any curtains, and the living room and bedroom are basically the same thing. This type of open concept is not too common, but I can’t describe how much I love it!
Romantic weekend wanted? Not a problem at all!
It’s About The Details
All three houses are packed with details, and I could post photos of them for days. There are so many pieces in these houses which made me question my entire style and wish for a change in my own home.
I mean, I would never have an open bath outside, but still…
… I gotta wonder what it’s like to take a bath while sweet little chickens are pecking around, and cows are mooing.
The Peaceful Symbiosis
Bathing outside is one thing, but sleeping under the stars is not my cup of tea. That’s why I love standard, traditional options which include a nice, big bed. The contrasting combination of grey bedding and light wood paneling around the bedroom is working like a charm.
It’s a symbiosis of the mellow nature and rigid modern elements.
And the symbiosis continues in the bathrooms too!
Peek-a-boo, I See You
What’s that peeking through the door in the bedroom? Oh, nothing much… Just the world’s prettiest bathroom with a setup that looks like artwork.
Seriously, it doesn’t get prettier than this!
Concreate Vs Wood
Here you have light grey concrete against the wood elements and woven baskets under it. A combination only the brave ones pick.
Truth be told, I love how exciting the houses look with these diametrical styles. If everything were brown, wooden, and beige, it would be… just boring!
I Adore These Faucets!
It doesn’t get better than this, does it? Even the faucets in these tiny houses aren’t boring or common. I never thought I’d be so impressed by a faucet!
The Barley, Clover, and Rye are perfect for those romantic weekend trips when you want to find time for each other. They’re a sight for sore eyes, a masterpiece of interior design, and three tiny houses with great energy.
I know I’d be rushing to spend the night there, take as many photos as I could, only if I had the chance to visit them.
