The biggest problem with moving into a new home, especially if it’s a smaller one, is how to arrange everything.
I know a lot of you guys have a lot of things and that’s pretty normal. The thing is: we really don’t need a lot to be happy. I know that very well and I tend to declutter my home every now and then.
The biggest decluttering always happens when you move into a new home. But, what about moving into a THOW, the tiny house on wheels? Space becomes compact and you have to act smart to fit everything you want.
When you think there are no ideas on how to organize yourself or what kind of THOW to get, Nora is here to help!
The Traditional THOW
Okay, guys, I have Movable Roots THOW with me, so I’m not alone on this journey. I’m about to show you what these magical hands built!
The company is specialized in building tiny houses on wheels and the model Ward is one of the best THOWs I’ve ever seen.
With its crispy white wooden exterior with detailing and black fenestration, the Ward reminds me of traditional homes. The only thing that’s missing is a white picket fence and some flowers, but that too can be arranged if you park the THOW somewhere nice.
A Room Full Of Potential
The Ward THOW comes almost as a blank canvas with just the basics. It’s up to you to decorate it the way you want and to adjust things according to your wishes.
The living room area is a small zone with a lovely grey L-shaped sofa. Add some throwpillows in the colors you love and you instantly get a whole new look and new energy.
The great thing about this part of the THOW is that there are windows on all three walls letting in so much natural light. To create an airy feel and add a dose of elegance, some light white curtains would be perfect.
The space above the living room is meant to be a storage loft. Trust me, you’ll need it. The space in the THOW is limited so you will need all the room you can get to store your belongings. Up here, you can put things you don’t use every day such as seasonal trinkets or clothes.
In case you were wondering, the sofa lifts up too offering even more secret storage space for things we don’t know what to do with.
Never Enough Of Storage Space
If I could, I would make all my sofas and armchairs with storage space under them.
This is one of the coolest ideas since the beginning of time!
Kitchen A Normal House Would Be Proud Of
Normally, THOWs have a tiny kitchen and not enough space. Sometimes those kitchens are actually kitchenettes. Although it’s smaller than usual, this kitchen is still a full one with everything you could need.
Just like the rest of the THOW, kitchen cabinets are white, with raised panels, and they fit in with dark hardwood floors so nicely. I love the contrast between them and between the black detailing, ie. handles, faucet, etc.
I mean, this kitchen features a normal-sized fridge, and that’s not something you see in THOWs every day.
Even Prettier From The Other Side
As you can see, the space in this THOW is compact, but it’s not too tiny either.
The kitchen is a gorgeous zone you’ll wish you never leave. I’m absolutely in love with those open shelves on the bottom left side and some nice, floating ones right next to the upper cabinets.
I’m the kind of girl who loves decorating every room in the house, according to seasons and holidays, and I’d definitely find a good use for these shelves. A spice rack so everything’s close while you cook? Why not? A place to store your cookbooks? You’ve got it!
Just Bring Your Own Bottle(s)
This bathroom is ready. Just bring your own bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel… What kind of bottles were you thinking of?
Seriously, this beautiful white bathroom with black details, and even prettier white metro tiles only needs your personal belongings and some towels. I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s perfect just the way it it.
When deciding what your THOW bathroom should look like, always go with white and bright colors to make the room appear visually bigger.
The Other Loft That Has A Real Purpose
Up those storage stairs you’ve seen earlier in the kitchen, you will find yourself in a loft with a bedroom.
Once again, the room is a pretty blank canvas with nothing but a floor bed and some open shelves. You’re missing bedding, trinkets, clothes, and all the other stuf you usually need in your bedroom.
Leaving it blank was the only option to show the real potential of this space. With plenty of natural light, the lof bedroom reminds me of a real room, not just a small loft to save space around the house.
