I don’t know about you, but whenever I’m scrolling through the internet, I’m always bombarded by images of those huge, luxurious houses that are located in the middle of a big city.
Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against those houses, more often than not they are absolutely breathtaking.
But there’s something special about finding a unique home located in a remote area, surrounded by serene nature. That’s what truly captivates me!
And if you also like that, boy, I have a treat for you!
Nestled into the incredible mountains of North Carolina, U.S., there is a spectacular cabin made out of shipping containers!
Yes, you read that right. A cabin made out of shipping containers. And it’s the coolest thing ever!
Once you pull into the driveway, you may not think much of the place. This is because all you will see is a 40 ft container with a little porch in front of it. But don’t be discouraged, the real magic is hidden in the back.
But more on that a little later!
Stepping inside, you are met with the cutest yet functional design ever.
To the left is the main living area, featuring an adorable living room. The comfortable seating area guarantees a relaxing time, and the flat-screen TV mounted to the wall offers all the entertainment you could ever need!
Placed sleekly underneath the TV is a gas fireplace that will not only make all those cold nights nice and cozy but it also tremendously adds to the overall atmosphere of the room.
Speaking of the pleasant atmosphere, the adorable decorations on the walls really do make you feel at home.
Located right next to the living room is the stunning master bedroom, designed to impress with its luxurious comfort and style.
Featuring the softest queen-sized bed you will ever lay on, this little room will make you dream only the best dreams ever!
Its minimal design – light fixtures, a couple of decorations, and a window – takes away any distractions so that you can go to sleep as soon as your head hits the pillow.
The other half of the container begins with a little kitchen that holds a lot of love.
A double fridge, cooktop stove, and dishwasher are just a couple of features of this modern kitchen that will make every meal full of love and flavor.
And I can’t forget about those adorable shelves that store all the cutlery and dinnerware. Talk about a functional yet adorable design!
Going further into the container, you walk into a bunk room that is the perfect accommodation for kids.
With three rustic-style beds, the design of this room is not only comfortable but it is also incredibly practical.
Right across the bunk beds, you have a washer and dryer with a wooden countertop that serves as an additional storage space.
Finally, at the end of the container, you’ll find the bathroom.
A full-sized shower, toilet, and sink are neatly integrated with its minimalistic black and white design, making even a simple shower feel like a luxurious spa day.
Now, onto the part everyone has been waiting for – the exterior.
The main living room area features another door that leads you to an enormous deck with a view that is guaranteed to take your breath away.
Not only do you have an incredible view of nature, but there are also plenty of chairs to ensure you enjoy it comfortably.
With a lounge area on one end and a dining table on the other, just imagine hosting a barbecue where all of your loved ones are hanging out, taking in the view, and sharing the love.
And that’s not all! The top of the main container also has an observation deck perfect for animal watching during the day and star gazing at night.
Absolutely magical!
But that’s not all!
The property also features a huge fire pit with the most epic surroundings. This area also offers plenty of seating, with four large logs arranged around it.
Talk about a place that just keeps on giving!
Just the thought of me hanging out with my friends, making s’mores by that fire while watching the stars decorate the sky brings peace and serenity to my mind. Imagine how much better it would be in real life!
Places like these truly inspire me to work harder, so my vacation days can be spent in such cool, relaxing spots.
