I know you’re probably used to seeing creative houses from me, reading my admiration towards tiny places sprinkled with uniqueness, but this is something else.
A friend of mine asked me to find him an office space for his little business. He’s a one-man-advertisement agency and he needed a place to settle. Of course, he had no place to begin with, let alone to decorate it.
Imagine my excitement when I figured out he could buy a container specifically for his office and place it on a piece of land he bought for a fraction of the price.
Of course, I’m not gonna show you his entire office, or what was the end result, but I am gonna lead you through the process and tell you all the possibilities you have with a simple metal box, aka the container.
The Office Upgrade
Forget corporate cubicles, this beauty will soon boast a sliding door, killer natural light, and maybe a plant or two for flair.
If you think about it, there’s no better way to say, ‘I work from home, but with shipping-container-level boundaries.’ Efficiency, privacy, and a touch of industrial chic—who wouldn’t be jealous of this new-age ‘corner office’?”
The plan is to place the container on that piece of land he recently bought. On that piece of land will be his new home too, but that’s still in the process of building. I couldn’t get him to build a container home as much as I tried.
This green box will be a great place to escape to work, especially since he only works a couple of hours a day.
The Plan
To get you a better image of the place, the container is a 19’ – 6” x 8’, an ideal oaasis when you want to get your work done, but you don’t wanna anyone to bother you.
It’s like a personal hideaway, where productivity meets peace and quiet, with just enough room to spread out without feeling cramped. Plus, the view might just make you forget you’re actually working—and feel like you’re on a mini vacation.
The Table You’re Gonna Love
The desk you see is like the Swiss Army knife of home offices—compact, versatile, and stylish.
Its minimalist design has just the right amount of space for your laptop, notebooks, and that ever-growing collection of “important” papers (aka coffee-stained receipts).
The industrial-style legs bring just enough edge to keep things modern without shouting for attention. Toss in a sleek lamp and a couple of books to convince people you’re “inspirational,” and you’ve got the perfect spot to power through remote work, study, or plot your next big creative masterpiece.
With this clean, uncluttered setup, even procrastination feels productive.
The Place Where You Snooze For A Bit
The couch on the right is basically your new work buddy—perfect for brainstorming, coffee breaks, or those “I need five minutes” moments.
Its compact size is just right for a small office, while the soft cushions and textured throw add a cozy vibe without crowding the space.
Whether you’re jotting down ideas, sipping on your third cup of coffee, or pretending to work while actually scrolling through memes, this couch is your go-to for blending productivity with relaxation. It’s the ultimate balance of work and chill, all in one comfy spot.
And I’m sure my good friend would find its work peace inside this container office.
Would you? Come on… Everyone needs an office space, right?
