Trying out new things sounds amazing, but it may also sound a little bit scary. I mean, that means getting out of our comfort zone, which can be a little bit tricky!
For those who are feeling brave, trying out new things with ease is supported, but for those who are a little reserved, how about adding a spice of something new to something old, and slowly trying it out?
For an example: you’ve always been a fan of modern houses and you’d like to try out living in a cabin but the stereotypical cabins are so different and you don’t know if you’re ready! Well, then this cabin, located in Bailey, Colorado, US, would be just perfect for you!
It has an amazing balance of modern and rustic. You get the best of both worlds!
That Deer Is Watching Me
The sight of the living room alone tells you everything, am I right?
The gray couches and the white walls versus the wooden windows and deer antlers on those walls. If this isn’t perfectly balanced I don’t know what is! It’s an excellent introduction to someone going from a modern home to a more rustic one!
What I like about this cabin is that there’s still so much room for decor! This means that you can make it as modern or as rustic as you’d like! Both of the couches have small gray tables right next to them, making it a perfect place for you to personalize this space.
What’s Cooking Today?
Over in the kitchen, a similar palette from the one in the living room continues with the brown cabinets and white, marble countertops.
However, we all know that food is the main coloring of the kitchen! I can already see myself making tomato sauce on that L-shaped countertop for the pasta which would add some reds, and preparing some smoothies on the island which would add a whole bunch of colors!
Do you already have any meals on your mind? Whatever you choose it’s going to be heaven making it here, just look at the size of this cooking space!
Formal Dinner Vibes
Of course, the story is no different in the dining room.
This long, brown and might I add, simple yet gorgeous, dining table is only missing that pasta with tomato sauce that i just mentioned! And some fun company on these brown chairs, DUH!
Also can we take a moment to appreciate these big windows? They allow so much natural light to enter the home and brighten the space while providing some lovely views during lunch time too!
Some Fun Under The Deck
Nestled under a sturdy wooden deck, this hot tub is like a private oasis that doesn’t care what day of the week it is.
Whether you’re melting away stress or simply pretending you’re on vacation, it’s the ultimate backyard upgrade. The natural light filtering through the beams adds just the right amount of drama, like nature itself is applauding your taste. Grab your favorite drink, hit the bubbles, and let relaxation take center stage.
It’s A Starry Night
We can’t not mention one of the most important places in the entire house though, the bedroom! Well, in this case let’s say that in plural cause there’s more than just one.
We spend so much of our time there, not just sleeping but also resting during the day, reading in bed, sometimes even working, so it’s important to have a nice room!
This cabin is no stranger to nice bedrooms.
The first one holds a king-sized bed, with a big brown cabinet on the opposite side which is able to store all of your clothes and a famous Starry Sky painting by Van Gogh adding some color.
Work, Sleep, On Repeat
The second bedroom is a better choice for those working from home, as opposite the king-sized bed is the brown desk accompanied by a chair. An excellent working station, all you need is some personalized decor such as a couple of photos and you’re good to go!
A room which I found to be the most interesting in this house is the one I kept for the ending of this article and that’s the bathroom.
Such A Pretty Walk-in Shower, Isn’t It?
We all know how the main palette of this house are grays and browns, but in the glass shower of this room we can find marble blue tiles! Perhaps matching the Van Gogh painting in the bedroom? Either way, I love the uniqueness!
Now that’s what I call a good entrance to the new world. An amazing way of breaking the ice!
Slowly but surely, you get to meet more and more components of the cabin while not fully letting go of the modernism. And what’s even better is that there’s so much room to decorate this room any way you like, whether it be modern, rustic or both!
After seeing this cabin, how would you decorate it? Would you go with the modern decor or something that fits more traditional cabins?
