It’s almost the end of the year and I’m exhausted already. My partner is too.
We’ve been thinking about going away somewhere, just the two of us. At least for the weekend.
Honestly, we need it desperately. We need a tiny place where we can find each other again and just do nothing but relax.
You know, something like a tiny house in the middle of nowhere.
Something like this teensy container that almost looks like a dollhouse!
Welcome… A Simple Word With So Much Meaning
If my partner and I could run away for a couple of days, this would be our destination. You know how it is: life becomes a bit overwhelming and you lose yourself sometimes. Everyone needs a break, and when you’re a couple, you need some time alone.
Love doesn’t stop when you get kids and daily routines. It should grow. And it should be worked on.
What better way to reconnect than in such a teensy tiny container, far from everything?
Drop the kids at grandma, pack your bags, and head out for a blonding getaway trip.
The welcome sign above thisgorgeous black door says you’re welcome. What a powerful word!
Still, the impact this lovely log cabin-inspired container will leave on you is even more powerful.
Forte Shelter
Just as this rigid, industrial sign on the container says, this is a shelter.
It’s a place where you hide out with your loved one from the rest of the world.
It’s a place where you feel safe… and cozy… and loved.
Come see what’s inside the shelter!
A Whole Side That Opens Into The World
Yeah, this is a container house, so it’s normal for these things to happen.
Personally, I find the backside opening to be quite interesting. Just imagine you want some fresh air and to check out the outside without leaving the bed. Open the back side and you’re set.
All jokes aside, keeping the container door means the designer really had in mind the original use of this metal box. And still, they found a way to create a lovely home out of that metal box.
It’s proof that everything could be turned into a cozy setting with some imagination and creativity.
Living Room/ Bedroom Combo You Won’t Mind At All
Like all container homes, this one is also an open space with everything in one room, within arm’s reach.
There is no bedroom, but a pull-out couch is equally comfortable. I don’t know about you, but I don’t mind spending the night on such a couch, making the bed with my partner, and watching a late-night show together on the TV. Such tiny things bring people closer together.
The interior of the container home is pretty contemporary with classic pieces that never go out of style. There’s the standard, comfortable grey sofa. And, opposite it, is a small dining table that can double as a workspace too if someone needs it.
Although everything’s so close, there’s still room to move around and don’t feel cramped up.
Wood And White Kitchen For A Homey Atmosphere
If you know my work, then you know I absolutely love wood and white combined together in the kitchen. It doesn’t matter if the cabinets are white and the countertops wooden or if it’s vice versa as in this case. I LOVE IT.
It’s a classic that has so many fans out in the world that won’t allow this trend to fade.
Adding wooden pieces into a small room creates a cozy setting and makes the whole room feel more homey. And you need those vibes when your house is a tiny container. Otherwise, everything will look so cold and unwelcoming.
Did that sign above the front door say “welcome” or didn’t it?
Industrial Style That Makes The Room Pop
As you can see for yourself, the entire container has some industrial vibes that always seem to go along with containers.
The bathroom in this container is completely industrial style with black details. I don’t know if I love black faucets more or the black shower system!
Contrasting with white walls and tiles, this black looks so luxurious and of high quality. Pick such pieces to make your bathroom stand out. Truth be told, it’s the one room in the house that doesn’t let you experiment a lot.
Still, with these details, maybe even detail in a bright color, your plain bathroom can go from nay to yay!
