The Mountain Valley Estate Brings Luxury To The Mountains All Year Long

The Mountain Valley Estate Brings Luxury To The Mountains All Year Long

Sharing is caring!

A winter holiday in a luxurious mountain chalet sounds like a dream, doesn’t it?

I’m sure no one would say no to spending a couple of days soaking in the hot tub, skiing on the slopes, and enjoying a glass of wine before a fireplace while it snows outside…

When I first saw this mountain chalet in Big Sky, Montana, I felt like I was in that movie with Queen Latifah. You know, the one where she thinks she’s terminally ill so she decides to spend all her money on a posh, winter retreat. The fancy hotel she was staying in totally has the same vibes as this mansion.

This is an upgrade to all your cabin-in-the-woods adventures.

This is what a simple log cabin wants to be when she grows up.

This is Mountain Valley Estate, a place in Montana where the perfect winter vacation is hidden.

And now, I’m revealing it to you.

The Spanish Peaks is a rather private and exclusive area in the west of the States, reserved only for those who don’t mind splurging on a holiday because they deserve it. Trust me, you deserve to stay in such a mansion. I know if I was a rich girl (na na na na na na na na na na na), I’d be getting myself the same one.

As I said, the Mountain Valles Estate looks like an upgraded log cabin, or maybe even a cabin on steroids (teehee). It’s an impressive structure dominating amongst the greenest pine trees I’ve ever seen. The mansion has an L-shaped layout, with a wide driveway and a 3-car garage, perfect to fit all of your friends.

The modern mountain design is stretched on three levels, allowing up to 12 people to come here and make themselves as comfortable as it gets.

The moment you come inside, you feel showered with luxury, comfort, and cozy vibes. I love an open concept with a huge living room and a fireplace, the center of all happenings.

And here, I just love how massive and rustic-looking the fireplace is! It almost looks as if it’s carved in a stone. You certainly know that’s gonna keep the entire house warm and ready for you when you return home from rushing down the slopes all day.

There are so many things I find awesome about this living room area, and it’s not the modern sofa and fancy armchairs next to it. It’s the stunning symbiosis of white naked walls, exposed beams, dark-toned wood, and carved stone.

And it’s also this:

… the best view in the house, the incredible spot, aka the bay windows area! I gotta applaud the architect of this mountain chalet. People often forget about focusing on the view in mountain cabins. Most think there’s nothing to be seen outside, other than snow and the trees.

But, there’s so much more! When the day comes, this room fills up with light thanks to these exact windows. And then, you’re gifted with the gorgeous view of the mountain peaks before you, while you’re sipping your morning coffee.

See? Being an interior designer, or even an architect, doesn’t mean simply coming up with plans for the house and building ‘em up. You have to get into the minds of people who will be staying there. You have to think thoroughly about every decision because every one of them could lead you to the most genius idea you’ve ever had.

As I mentioned earlier, the ground floor is an open concept with a kitchen and dining room area. The moment I saw the wonderfully sleek marbled kitchen island, I was sold. I’ve always wanted an island like that, where I could prepare a meal while my friends or family are at the other end of it, chatting with me.

Oh, I’ve always been a family-oriented type, with a huge fondness for warm and inviting homes. This mountain mansion only lights up my flames.

And, if there’s no place on the island, there’s always the big ol’ dining room table that fits eight people and serves the same great view as from the living room.

At the opposite end of the fireplace is the kitchen, another area where it’s smokin’ hot. Why? Because with a kitchen like this, I could whip up some of the best dishes I know! Personally, I’m not a huge fan of walnut wood used for this kitchen, but I can’t deny the fact it’s flawlessly adapted into the entire house concept.

And then… something that made my heart beat faster. The moment I saw the living room area with the bay window, I immediately regretted that there were no soft cushions and a huge reading nook instead of those armchairs. Still, I saw something I love even more: the cozy cranny in the kitchen.

Don’t mind if I do!

Since this is a three-story house, it’s obvious that it has to have a master bedroom, as well as guest suites. In this case, the master bedroom is just down the hall, on the main floor. It’s simple, elegant, and full of light.

But, it’s not the big bed, or the walk-in closet that makes the master bedroom so grandiose. It’s the bathroom!

Oh, I love it when the bathroom isn’t all tiny and tightly organized. I want my space, and I bet you want it too! The wooden elements continue in here as well, with gorgeous, rustic vanities and cabinets. It’s cool to see that both the shower and the tub are options here since you usually get either the one or the other.

And the tub… Ah, such beauty!

It’s unarguably the second-best view in the house!

This tub with a view is… priceless! Just imagine it: the bubble bath is ready, you’ve been outside the whole day and need to warm up, and the tub is calling your name. Maybe your partner’s name too, if you know what I mean…

The bedroom suite has all you need not to leave it for a couple of hours: privacy, comfort, and guaranteed rest.

The upper and lower levels of the house have the same guarantees, but a bit modified. Of course, here we don’t have the master suite, but it’s still a part of the house you’d want to stay in. As I said before, this mansion accommodates 12 guests, with five bedrooms and eight beds.

The lower level has a nice king-size bed with an ensuite bathroom, a bar area, a big sofa, flat screen TV, and… the same gigantic fireplace!

Yeah, the lower level is pretty much awesome too! In some cases, I’d much rather stay down there, than in the fancy master suite.

This level has fun written all over it! I mean, the bar? Who’s up for mulled wine while a game of poker is being dealt at the round table?

The rest of the bedrooms provide an equal amount of comfort as the master bedroom. I mean, it’s a place to spend the night, right? What else do you need than the comfiest bed ever?

The consistency that can be found in this mansion is admirable. I mean that in terms of design. You have the same style stretching out in all rooms, including bathrooms. It’s the same mountain fantasy with wood, stone, and some anthracite elements that send out modern vibes.

I don’t like mixing styles. I love uniformity and I love that naked wooden beams can be seen in the fancy part of the mansion, as well as downstairs, where people should be having fun.

Speaking of fun… At Mountain Valley, the fun doesn’t stop when you step outside. When it’s not snowing, the area is IDEAL for sunbathing, soaking up good energy from a calm place, and lighting up the grill.

The deck is big enough to host a small party where you guys would be having the time of your lives.

For an untrained eye, the Mountain Valley will be just a simple mountain cabin with bedrooms, a big family area, a garage, and some sitting spots near the fireplace.

To me, this cabin is an exclusive structure that oozes good, family vibes. Because that’s the real luxury in life.
