Modern Marvel Shaping Tomorrow’s Architecture Wins Awards and Captures Hearts

Sharing is caring!

Perched on a hill with breathtaking views of the ocean and enveloped by lush nature, this modern marvel is not only reshaping the future of architecture but also stealing hearts.

This is Dovecote, a remarkable design done by Andy Carson,  an integration of innovative design and stunning landscape around it.

The award-winning masterpiece is looking for adventurers, and nomadic people looking for a thrill. Wait until you see why this modern mansion is so special!

The Design That Is A Reaction To The Site

All that unspoiled nature, the seemingly endless ocean before it, and the energy inspired the designer, Andy Carson, to create the Dovecote. The whole idea was to connect the house to the farmland surrounding it, keep it simple, and achieve the feeling you’re one with nature, not secluded from it.

And the idea was a complete success! Spending some time in this mansion will make you feel like you’re actually outside the entire time. Talk about finding that connection between the modern and the natural.

Quite a contrast, isn’t it? And that’s what makes this house so beautiful!

It’s not the angled walls, the use of different materials like copper or stone, or even the futuristic design that won this house awards. It’s the ability to feel like you belong there, right among peaceful cows, under the incredible blue sky, next to the wild sound of the ocean.

In terms of house design, we can say the Dovecote is a complex of two buildings, nestled far from each other, but still acting as a unity.

Placing a non-traditional design house into a fully traditional surrounding ( the farmland, remember?) creates a spectacular sight. I mean, doesn’t this look like it’s from the year 2075? It does, right?

All The Amazing Spots

The Dovecote is a place that absolutely swept me off my feet. I wish I could move here for a couple of days and just stare into the space through those stunning picture windows. The telescopic view from the house is to die for!

The first thing you’ll notice is how spacious every area in the house is. Then, you’ll see how much natural light comes inside through those giant windows. You get the feeling you’re almost sitting outside!

I love the clean lines, almost no clutter, and lots of lovely, natural shades. It’s a minimalistic house, but with a soul, and that’s the twist!

Although the house is listed as an Airbnb, it can absolutely serve as a standard family house. Well, at least you get a warm and welcoming feeling just by looking at the photos!

And, before I forget… See that fireplace? That’s the ultra-popular Henan Jinbailai fireplace that creates a floating illusion and brings the house one step closer to the future. Such a gorgeous, futuristic design!

Of course, we can’t forget about the kitchen. Nestled on the other end of the open-concept family space, the kitchen is a modern design beauty with matte grey cabinets and a simplicity that guarantees lovely meals. I appreciate the fact the designer didn’t go loco and created some kind of futuristic plan.

Everything about the interior design of this house is simple, homey, and useable!

One of my favorite places in the house is the bedroom. I’m not sure whether I love the cognac brown shade more, or the balcony a few steps away. Still, nothing can beat that view. Imagine waking up to it!

Remember how the house actually consists of two separate buildings? Well, this is the smaller piece, designed as a typical shed with contemporary elements. It’s not just an additional spot with bedrooms and family areas. It’s a place where those gorgeous views get introduced again.

By adding elements such as those copper shields up there, the architect’s idea was to control the game of light, seclude the eyes from the ocean and the land, and reintroduce them again through picture window panels.

Each new room hides a new surprise, and I was quite stunned by seeing this bathroom. It looks like the sky opened and it’s pouring down. I’ve seen all kinds of showers and bathrooms, but this one right here is, by far my favorite.

Another favorite is the central yard, one of the most special spots in the entire house. The yard was improved by adding an irregular-shaped pool, as well as stone details. Having such an arrangement ensures utmost privacy. Not that there are neighbors around, but still…

Inspired by the beautiful landscape, the Dovecote brings us one step closer to the architecture of tomorrow all while winning hearts and making people sigh over staying in such a serene luxury.
