For me, this is a summer home, a place where blessed families come to spend the holidays.
It’s an oasis for a family, a sport where no one could bug them, and they can be themselves.
It’s a rustic villa that’s missing one thing only. Can you guess what that is?
Is a house this perfect really missing something?
Is that something… You?
The Idyllic Scenery With One Thing Missing
I know you’re wondering: how could anything be missing in this photo? The house is spectacular!
I agree. The house is truly spectacular with its soft brown exterior, and terrace that wraps around the entire house. But, one thing is missing tho. Some olive trees nearby, a vineyard in the back, and the smell of the Mediterranean in the air.
This earthy villa gives me vibes of a Mediterranean style home where contact with the nature and using the best of it is the most important thing.
I’d love to spend a summer in this house, feeling blessed for being in such a surrounding.
A House Built For Relaxation
This villa looks like a summer home I’m aching to have!
All I’d do in this place is lounge in the hammock, go strolling around the property, and sit back while the joy of life circulates.
But, I guess no one really has that privilege to do nothing, don’t go to work, and still enjoy life. We’re not all royalty, right?
The biggest features of this villa are outside, with three chill zones. First being the hammock, and the other two are right upfront. The outside dining area always sounds like a great idea. I’d never use the inside one if I don’t have to.
Lounge All You Want
I just love it when houses have lounges on their terraces. Nothing like spending lots of time outside!
I’m an outdoorsy person and I love all kinds of outside seating areas, especially if there’s comfy furniture involved.
The patio sofa and two armchairs seem like comfortable pieces, great for relaxing, sipping your afternoon coffee for a while.
Another Proof That Beige Isn’t Sad Beige
Stepping inside the house reveals the comfortable beige setting. If you ask me, this house is another proof that beige isn’t a sad color. It’s so soothing, welcoming, and heartwarming.
All the major pieces inside are a combination of wood and white. The kitchen has my favorite kind of cabinets, so I have to love it.
Makes Me Go Cray-Cray
Still, what makes me go cray-cray about this part of the house is the hexagon tiles and the fact they go all the way up to the ceiling.
The tiles create a sort of an accent wall and make all this beigeness a whole lot interesting.
Accents That Are Trending ATM
When I was a kid, beadboards were in. We all had it in our homes. Even I have it in my bedroom and I still love it. However, my bedroom is shabby-chic in terms of style, and this bedroom is modern. Although it’s not beadboard, this wooden panel wall is a trending piece we all love.
Lately, using narrow wooden panels to create an accent wall has become so popular. I can’t tell you how many clients have come to me asking for the same accent somewhere in their home.
In this case, adding the said panels into the bedroom adds dimension. The bedroom is no longer a sad room with nothing interesting but a comfy bed. Now it’s a stylish spot where everyone would love to crash for the night.
Room For More
Although I think of this house as a summer home, it is still liveable all year round. So, families with kids, you’re more than welcome to claim your spot.
Ah, wouldn’t it be nice to raise your kids in such home? I’m becoming a bit envious the more I watch this place.
Leaving everything aside, I can’t help but notice the same wood panneling continues in the kids room, this time in a form of a half wall. The same color palette is present throughout the house, as well in this room. This is a solid base for any additional tweakups and personalization.
Modern Simplicity, What Else?
Of course, since the entire house is pretty simple and modern in terms of style, the bathroom had to be too.
There’s not much to say about this room other than it being a truly beautiful spot with simple elements that leave one breathless.
The thing I admire the most about this bathroom are the concrete wall tiles. Did you know that concrete is getting a major comeback? I was surprised too, but, apparently, having concrete walls or floors is in trend now and it blends in with so many other styles!
