Take A Trip Down A Memory Lane In This Maximalist Cabin

Take A Trip Down A Memory Lane In This Maximalist Cabin

Sharing is caring!

When you think of the words “family” and “friends”, what’s the first type of home that comes to your mind?

For me, it’s 100% a maximalist home.

A nice, cozy cabin, filled with so many things that make the place so lively and warm. Photos from all our loved ones, books we love and talk about, albums we listen together and the miscellaneous items which bring back memories.

That’s exactly what the Rexford, Montana, US situated cabin I’m about to introduce you to reminds me of, the words “friends” and “family”.

It’s not just the interior that’s so inspiring, but the exterior too!

All of the lovely plants on the porch really remind me of the flowers my mom and grandma always made sure to take care of. And the big land outside takes me back to me and my friends running around and playing together.

A Maximalist Heaven And It’s Perfect

The interior is a maximalist heaven, and it reminds me so much of my grandparents’ old house.

Comfy couches, perfect to take naps on, and the wooden walls all around make this place feel like a super cozy retreat.

The flat-screen TV in this living room is perfect for putting on some background music while spending time here.

These floor-to-ceiling shelves hold so much space for your books, or maybe comics! You can have your own mini library then choose what you’re in the mood for every day!

For all the hardworking people from home, there’s a little office area as well! I love the way the desk is positioned right in front of that mini library wall. However, good luck with not getting distracted thanks to all of the cool things around you!

In these old style houses are always the yummiest of meals! Take out all of the needed amenities from the brown cabinets and get to cooking some delicious food for your tastebuds!

As this place reminds me of my friends and family, I’d opt for making some of my favorite meals from my childhood for sure! The smell of that familiar food would immediately take me down the memory lane.

In This House, We Sit Down For A Meal

That’s what my mom always used to say!

When it’s finally time to eat, everyone can gather together and enjoy the meals at this brown, wooden dining table surrounded by brown chairs.

I can already hear the laughter coming from this room!

After a long day of playing around and having fun, nothing hits like a good night’s rest! And it can’t hit any better than on a comfy bed

I just love how this room has wooden walls, closet and ceiling, and tons of different textures! From textured bed sheets to different textured curtains! It’s so lively and fun!

There’s one more secret this house hides, which I’m sure will make all of the creatives very happy.

The place has one more floor! Yes, a loft is hidden upstairs which makes for a whole new room that you can decorate any way you want!

Potential Waiting To Be Used Upstairs

It can be an extra bedroom for some other family members or friends coming over! Or, it can be an office area if you’d like to move from the one in the living room. Or something completely different and new!

I love thinking of things I’d do in empty areas of houses, it gets my creative side going on full speed!

What would you do with the loft? Would you keep it matching the rest of the house or would you take a completely different route?
