John Wayne, is that you? I feel like all the great ones were the inspiration for this cabin. Maybe even Clint Eastwood too!
This cabin has Western written all over it. If one of the Western actors needed a getaway house, this would be it.
Its rustic log appearance combined with modern amenities makes The Homestead Cabin in Arizona the place to be this fall, winter, and year-round.
I feel like cowboys and Indians would start running all over the place any moment. That’s how strong the vibes are with this cabin.
Looks Like It’s Missing A Sign
And I know you’re wondering what sign. Well, with all these Western vibes, the only thing missing here is the sign saying saloon!
I feel like I ended up in some John Wayne movie where he slams through those double saloon doors and challenges a man to a duel.
This cabin was definitely inspired by the cabins in Wild West when the first pioneers settled the land. However, this is a modern, improved, and updated version of a regular cabin welcoming guests who want to experience the real deal.
With its log exterior and green roof, The Homestead blends in with the Arizona surroundings better than any other building in the area.
Cathedral Ceilings To Make The Room Better
When a cabin has cathedral ceilings, I’m instantly sold. I don’t like it when they’re too tiny and dark. Such cabins make me depressed and I don’t want those feelings on my quick holiday.
I need a cabin like this one that has relaxation and enjoyment written on every log.
The community space of this cabin is one spacious open concept with the holy trio: living room, dining room, and kitchen.
The furniture inside is pretty traditional and evergreen. I mean, you can never go wrong with leather armchairs or wooden coffee tables.
When you combine such pieces with tall ceilings wood logs on the walls and exposed beams, you get the idyllic cabin setting, something we all think of when someone mentions cabin houses.
Let’s Not Forget The Fireplace
You can’t have a cabin without a fireplace. That’s just wrong.
Since this cabin is ticking all the boxes so far, the fireplace is more than a satisfying one. The massive, almost colossal piece made of stone, with a wooden log mantle, is the centerpiece of the room, a head-turner.
The dominance of the fireplace promises warmth throughout the cabin even during the hardest snowstorms outside. Just sit by the fire and enjoy the picture-perfect setup.
Kitchen That Blends With The Walls
Look closer and you’ll see there are really kitchen cabinets in here, you just don’t see them immediately. The cabinets are almost the same color as the walls with knots and everything.
The kitchen is pretty large with lots of storage and working surfaces, including all the necessary appliances. We can go rustic, but let’s not forget we’re in the 21st century and we need a fridge and an oven.
A Bit Of Farmhouse Style
Something that a lot of people don’t know about me is how much I love the traditional farmhouse style, especially the chairs.
These babies in the dining area are too stunning with their carvings and spindle backs. And they blend in with the cabin so nicely.
You have the fire crackling in the back, the night falling outside, and only one thing missing in the photo: a warm, delicious, homemade meal.
The Most Stunning Log Stains
Clean wood is beautiful. There’s no need to deny that. However, it’s really a matter of preference when it comes to clean and raw wood. Personally, I’m a fan of raw, rustic wood pieces, especially when they have natural stains like the ones in this bedroom.
Sure, the bed is nice, and the dresser too. Oh, and let’s not forget about the wicker armchair in the corner as well. But, the true masterpiece is the stains you see on the walls. It’s a collection with nature, a sign you’re surrounded by pristine wilderness waiting to be explored.
Can You Guess What I Love In This Bedroom?
Hmm, that bedding with native American details is sure wonderful and homey, and so are the matching drapes. Although I find them beautiful, they’re not my favorite things in this bedroom.
I was thinking between the gorgeously-carved rocking chair on the left and the balcony view, and the balcony view won.
I can’t even imagine how nice it would be to wake up here with the sun peeking through the balcony doors, and the blissful nature calling your name
Finally, No Tiles In The Bathroom!
One of the things I dislike the most about modern cabins is the tiles. Seriously, we don’t need them in the bathroom, we don’t need them in the kitchen. I do not like them, Sam I am… Oh, that’s another story!
Anyway, tiles? No thank you, wood is so much better, on the walls, on the floor, as bathroom furniture…
The full cabin experience is now full thanks to this wooden fantasy!
Bonfire Material
What’s a good cabin without a fire pit outside?
The cabin inside is wonderful, but you’ll have to go outside eventually. What better way to spend your chilly evening than lighting a fire and snuggling as the night falls?
Fire pit hangouts are my favorite kind of hangouts. It’s not because the pit area looks so wonderful carved in stone, or because the fire is so nice.
It’s because of the s’mores!
