The Surprise In This THOW Will Make Your Heart Warm, Wanting For More

Sharing is caring!

Tiny houses on wheels. THOWs. Each one is different from the other. Although these homes belong in the same, tiny category, every THOW has something incredible to offer.

The Huckleberry THOW is not like the others. I know you hear that all the time, but this time it’s the truth.

On the outside, it may seem like a regular house on wheels. But, on the inside, one incredible surprise sets it apart from other THOWs and makes Huck special.

What’s the surprise? I won’t tell you.

Still, I’ll at least let you know it’s gonna warm up your heart!

Different Materials, One Incredible Unity

The Huckleberry is not like your average THOW houses. Why is that so?

Well, for starters, it’s much more spacious, but that’s not the point.

The Huckleberry has an exterior made of wood planks and corrugated metal, something you see only on rare occasions. The 30’ x 10’ home on wheels is a piece of contrasting beauty.

I mean, don’t these corrugated silver walls look incredible against the stained wood planks and the red roof?

I really don’t have anything against the standard wooden THOWs, but I can’t help but appreciate more the unity of different materials that create a home that would turn heads anywhere it goes.

I Live For The Nooks

Sure, typical living rooms are nice, but when the space it tight, a nook can help too!

I have to admit, I’m crazy about all kinds of nooks and I have three of them in my own home. They’re my reading spots and my kids seem to love them too.

The Best Idea So Far

The Huckleberry doesn’t have enough space for a living room. Still, the living room nook is a much happier solution. It’s really a simple little nook with a bench, some cushions on it, and a window offering the best view in the house.

Considering the entire idea of the place, a sofa or an armchair would be too much. The Huckeberry needed something edgy to match the rest of the place and this nook was just the right thing.

Ready For The Snow Season

The biggest issue with THOWs is the problem of heating. Usually, such tiny homes are unconventional and come with AC units that distribute cold and hot air as you need it.

Well, with this THOW, everything is unconventional. It actually comes with a wood-burning fireplace or a furnace.

And it’s all possible in a wooden THOW thanks to the corrugated metal behind the fireplace to repel the heat.

A dash of industrial style is introduced through the black metal fireplace, a much-needed detail to elevate the room and add some edge.

Subtle Edginess Everywhere

The fireplace isn’t the only industrial thing in this THOW. The Huckleberry is full of such details but in a subtle way. Think of it as subtle edginess that’s dosed juuust right so you don’t get overwhelmed with it.

The kitchen and dining room area are basically one zone with a kitchen bar that serves as a dining spot. There are lots of black metal bars, legs, and support poles that carry those industrial points.

My favorite thing about the kitchen isn’t the open shelves, although I do love them too. It’s the cabinets with some sort of shingles in different shades of wood. Aren’t they magical? And they even match the outside of the house!

A Dreamy Bathtub I’d Love To Have

My house doesn’t have a bathtub like this one, but I sure wish it did. I know I’d be spending all my evenings in there, soaking off my worries.

I was quite surprised to see such a lovely tub in this THOW because THOWs usually come with walk-in showers. Space is compact in these tiny homes, but not as compact in the Huckleberry, as one might think.

Having a full bathroom with a flushable toilet is a blessing. And, when you have such a lovely bathroom with gorgeous wooden walls and ceilings, and that incredible tub, you’re more than blessed.

The Cozy Spot You Call A Bedroom

The one thing I love the most about this tiny home is the use of wooden floors and walls throughout the place. This gives the house welcoming and heartwarming vibes.

It’s not just a regular THOW. Now it’s a home.

Those who opt to live in a tiny home usually have bedroom lofts, Murphy beds, or some nooks to substitute for the lack of a bedroom. The Huckleberry comes with a nice, cozy room just for you and your bed.

And I didn’t tell you the best thing yet: you’re sleeping right next to the window so the early morning sun gets to shower your face every day.
