Couple Lives In A 320 SQ FT THOW And It’s Their Version Of Heaven On Earth

Sharing is caring!

Love is when you’re both passionate about the same things. Love is when you agree with each other’s major life decisions, like changing the car you drive or picking a whole new lifestyle for you two.

Love is when you figure out that living tiny would be the best deal for you two.

Love is, buying a THOW of only 320 sq ft and decorating it the best way you can.

Katherine and Shelby from Oregon have that kind of love.

They ended up living small in a lovely THOW and they never thought they would like it there so much. The THOW has become something they can’t live without.

When you can be happy in only 300ish sq ft of space, you know you have your life sorted just the way it’s supposed to be.

We Can Have A Normal House In Here

Living tiny doesn’t necessarily mean you should give up on so many things. You can achieve comfort and have everything you want if you think wisely and opt for smart solutions.

Katherine and Shelby bought a plain THOW and decided to decorate it according to their desires and it was a complete success.

Their THOW comes with a lovely front patio where they created additional lounge zones, something they couldn’t do inside the house. The building is a lovely rectangular-shaped house with wood siding and white frame around the windows and the front door.

They used a lot of wood and black to achieve the industrial, and a bit rustic feel. I love how Katherine decorated for the change of the season. I’m a seasonal decorator in my house and I believe you get the even warmer house feeling if you add pieces for fall, Christmas, Easter season, etc.

Those pumpkins may be the fall starter pack everyone’s beginning to make fun of, but I still love them!

The outside of the house already says it’s a modern place for people enjoying life.

But, what does the inside say?

Oh, the inside pretty much agrees!

The couple trifted and recycled a lot of their furniture creating a lovely homey energy. Nothing’s too sterile or fits the standard trends. Everything in here has a soul and that’s what I love about their home.

Katherine is, in fact, a colleague of mine, an interior designer, and one hella good one! Her tiny living room with a loveseat, a repurposed coffee table, and a small fireplace that keeps the house warm is everything you need on a rainy day.

It simply invites you to come in and snuggle on the couch as the rain keeps on hitting the roof outside.

As you can see in the photos, the THOW has plenty of plants around. Katherine counted over 40 of them at one point and they’re definitely items that add life to the house and make it a home.

If there’s room for plants, there’s room for everything!

A Kitchen Where You Won’t Be Hungry

I’d rather cut down on some other spots inside the house to make it tiny than invest in a kitchenette. I need a full kitchen. I need a place to prepare and have my meals, and this couple shares my opinion. Food is the connecting factor for us, humans. We have to eat.

So why don’t make the place we prepare food a place worthy of a human being?

Stop with teensy-tiny kitchens and give us real cupboards and stoves!

The pretty combination of white cabinets and the dark wood on the countertops is simply too gorgeous to handle! It’s giving rustic vibes and a bit of retro sprinkles, creating a unique living solution for Katherine and Shelby.

This is a decent-sized kitchen and I’m sure they won’t lack a single thing in here. When you know how to cook, you can get along with everything.

Right by their kitchen are stairs, cubicle storage ones, that lead up to the bedroom loft above the kitchen. Of course, THOWs usually have bedroom lofts to maximize space usage.

I don’t know why, but I always prefer such stairs over traditional ones. Aren’t they stinkin’ cute or what?

The bedroom loft is basically a space where they managed to fit in a king size bed, some nightstands, and even a TV mounted on the wall.

The ceiling is just tall enough to allow them to sit up on the bed.

Now, this is a morning coffee with a view. I can’t think of a snugglier place on Earth to have that first sip in the morning than on this bed, looking outside through the windows on the side.

Lastly, we have one more room to check out in this sweet THOW and it’s the bathroom. Yes, of course, they have a bathroom, and such a unique one might I add.

It’s small, but sufficient. They painted one wall black to add dimension and make the room appear bigger. Also, it makes the entire bathroom look so chic! I bet that wasn’t the option, but it’s still nice to have a pretty bathroom, isn’t it?

The THOW owned by Katherine and Shelby is a small piece of heaven that came together as a puzzle of 1000 pieces and every piece tells its own story.
