Here’s to all tired moms out there: we all need a girl cave, a place we could hide with a good book, a glass of wine, and do nothing but enjoy.
Don’t you dare say our place is the kitchen, because it’s not.
We, girls, deserve a spot somewhere where we could simply feel relaxed like we never were before.
There come days when I’m absolutely exhausted and I wish I had a place to hide.
A place like this cool girl cave I’m about to show you!
A Peaceful Girl Cave
One marriage came to an end, but one woman didn’t want to leave her neighborhood. You know what’s it’s like to live for years in a lovely community, with so many incredible advantages. No one would want to move.
And then, an idea bulb sparked up above her head: how about a container home just for herself?
The building process took some time, but it was absolutely worth it. Two shipping containers were delivered, arranged in an L-shape, nestled around a terrace, and ready to be turned into a girl cave.
The soft Industrial style of Germanine’s home looks so modern and comfortable. I love how she kept the corrugated walls and the anthracite shade. This terrace with the view doubles as an outside dining spot and a lounge.
If it was for me, I’d never leave that pink lounge!
I’d Bring A Book Here
Oh, and I’d bring a book in here!
Containers usually have small living rooms. This one is tiny, but considering the fact the weather in the area is usually nice and there’s an outside terrace with a lounge zone, this area is just right.
The small green sofa by the glass wall along with a clever side table works just fine. You can snuggle in here on rainy days, watch TV, read a book, or simply stare outside at the rain.
The loveliest feature of this container house is the colors. And, as you can see, many bright shades were used to create a vibrant, happy, and joyful girl cave.
I Wouldn’t Mind Doing The Dishes With This View
Doing the dishes is something I hate doing. I truly despise it. But, you gotta do what you gotta do.
Honestly, I wouldn’t mind doing them if I had a view like this one! It’s spectacular! The whole container house position is wonderful and I can see why Germaine didn’t want to move. The view of the city is too stunning to handle!
On a sunny day, these windows can open and create a huge transition space between the house and the terrace. Need a glass of water? Just lean over and pour it without having to leave the pink lounge.
Simple Kitchen For Yummy Meals
Since this container house consists of two separate containers connected with a terrace, the biggest part of the first container is the kitchen. I’d do the same if I had two containers to use because I love nice, spacious kitchens. Don’t come at me with kitchenettes. They’re not my cup of tea.
This kitchen also comes in one of my favorite combinations, white counters with wooden countertops. Every white kitchen looks beautiful, and the owner found a way to make it even more special by adding open shelves and lots of interesting trinkets.
Waking Up With The Sun In The Room
There is a blind on the window, but if I was living here, I’d wish to be woken by the first sun rays. Nothing better than a natural wake-up call.
The bedroom in this part of the container is a small one, but it still fits a decent-sized bed. Of course, love the pink bedding! However, the idea of being snuggled in the corner, watching stars at night, and waking up with the day start sounds even better!
Modern Simplicity At Its Finest
Oh, my… Look at those texturized tiles in the back of the mirror and vanity combo! Aren’t they gorgeous?
Texturized tiles are always a safe choice because they carry the note of elegance and innovation. So much better than just plain white tiles, isn’t it?
This bathroom with a walk-in sink is such a modern oasis, perfect for spa nights and pampering, everything a girl could want!
