Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always dreamed of having a treehouse.
You know, the kind you see in movies – perched high in a big tree with a big wraparound porch and even a little tire swing.
Unfortunately, the trees in my backyard were too small and flimsy, so my parents never had a sturdy spot to build one. Therefore, my dream really seemed out of reach.
That is, until I heard about Uhu.
As soon as I came across this little cabin standing proudly amongst the tall, beautiful birches, I couldn’t decide what captivated me more – its stunning location or its unique design.
Wanting to utilize the incredible view of nature, the owners of this cabin decided to elevate it 40 feet in the air! And, to keep it both compact and spacious, they ingeniously designed it in the shape of a diamond.
I hope you’re not afraid of heights because we’re about to climb up and explore.
Prepare to be absolutely blown away by every aspect of this tiny home.
For starters, getting up to the cabin means that you have to climb an enclosed spiral staircase that counts approximately forty stairs – I know that that may seem a lot but I promise you it will be worth it.
Once you reach the top, you will find yourself on a 20-foot bridge leading to the cabin’s front door that is used as an observation deck.
I mean, just imagine sipping on your morning coffee while listening to the sound of the birds – talk about a perfect start to the day.
As you step into the cabin, you’ll find closets on both the left and right.
They are perfectly designed to store all your belongings – from clothes and suitcases to every pair of shoes you brought! One of them even has a full-sized mirror making sure to let you know how beautiful you are.
Walking through the hallway, you’ll find the cabin’s only door, leading to a small, private toilet.
Right next to it, you’ll find a full-sized shower!
Did somebody say a little spa day 40 feet in the air? Sign me up!
Finally, the main living space. Heads up, prepare to be amazed!
On one side, the most comfortable queen-size bed greets you, giving you the urge to immediately jump inside and drift away to dreamland.
However, you might not sleep a wink, as the wall directly across from the bed features a full-sized window, allowing you to feel one with the stars.
It’s absolutely magical!
But that’s not all, the window also features a built-in countertop. Whether you’re reading a book, having dinner, or just lounging around with your loved one you’ll have the most breathtaking view ever.
Talking about dinner, don’t worry about bringing your camping gear because Uhu’s kitchen has it all.
From a sink with running water and a fridge to a stovetop and plenty of storage, this kitchen guarantees the perfect home-cooked meal every single time!
The open shelves ensure that you have everything within arm’s reach. This will eliminate any interruptions during your meal – and who doesn’t want that?
What I find absolutely unique about this place is its lighting.
A single light fixture hangs from the ceiling, providing the illumination you need for tasks. But when you want to lounge around and enjoy yourself and the view, consider turning on the countless LED lights hidden throughout the cabin.
I promise you, they create the most romantic and relaxing atmosphere ever.
But that’s not all!
Say you get a sudden craving for a barbecue!
Well, Uhu has you covered! Just climb down the stairs and head underneath the cabin, where you’ll find the most adorable patio ever.
With cozy chairs, a swing, and even a little grill, it really proves that this place has it all!
This place really does remind me of the fact that, even though I am an adult, I can still enjoy things that made me happy as a child.
