When someone mentions container homes, my mind goes instantly to tiny, compact builds for one or two people maximum.
But, nothing is always as it seems and container homes can be quite spacious like standard houses.
We all forget to think outside the box and just one step out of it could lead you to the home of your dreams.
The impressive structure of this container house could be someone’s perfect abode.
If you didn’t know any better, you’d think it took lots of bricks and concrete to get from zero to… container hero!
Container House In Disguise
The low cost of building a container house is one of the best features it offers. The fast build is the other one. And the versatility of style is the third.
Might I add, that the ability to show off as something it isn’t could be the fourth feature? Because, this house, with flat roofs and stone details, looks like an architectural masterpiece. It looks like anything but a transformed box of steel!
This project actually consists of three 40 ft HC which created a lot of room for three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an impressive common open space.
The vibes I’m getting from this container home are industrial chic mixed with a homey atmosphere.
Right by the entrance is a cozy nook for putting on shoes and an incredible wall divider/ shelf. If you look closer, you’ll notice those are concrete building blocks stacked one upon another to visually divide the room from the entry hall and get more shelf space for family trinkets.
The basic color of the house is grey with a bunch of yellow details that lift the atmosphere and create a vibrant feel. The living room is a modern area with unusual pieces such as the ottoman chairs and side table combination. Black steel frames of furniture pieces give the industrial chic vibes and make this part of the house ultra-modern.
A tiny setback of the modern room is a trip to the past with the brick fireplace like the ones used decades before. When you combine something super modern and something traditional, you get a unique piece of art.
The kitchen follows the same rules of industrial chic and modern. It features the warm wood tone of the cabinets against black frames and stainless steel details. This is a decent-sized kitchen for a container house, with plenty of prep space, storage, and even open shelves for easy access and trendy points.
What kind of an open concept would this area be without the dining room?
The designer of this container really thought everything through and created areas of normal size so everyone stays happy and you get enough space for anything you want to do. Wanna host a dinner party? No problem, because this dining space seats six!
Oh, I’d love to have a nice dinner party in this house! I call dibs on the seat right next to the gorgeous yellow accent wall!
Three Bedrooms Is A LOT
Remember when I said container houses are usually super affordable?
Yeah, well, that might not be the case here. Sure, you’ll still pay a smaller price than you would for a traditional house. Still, bear in mind that we’re talking about three containers and three bedrooms, so the undertaking is not a joke.
All three bedrooms feature simple layouts with beds and closets. However, this one also has a charming window nook for your super private book club that meets every night before bed.
The color palette is incredibly soothing and gives softness to the industrial feel you get from black steel details.
The second bedroom features a much lighter and brighter palette with peach details so you’ll definitely feel peachy sleeping in here!
And the third one…
… is the monochromatic simplicity with an elevated bed with storage, right next to the windows. This room could easily serve as a room for a teenager since it’s so compact and basic, allowing additional tweaks according to the teen’s wishes.
As far as the two bathrooms are concerned, the first one is an ensuite bathroom with double vanity and gorgeous black hardware details.
And the second one is a beautifully simple bathroom with a walk-in shower and earthy details. The deep brown and plant details are such a stunning combo! When you and black trim and frames everywhere, you get an evergreen room in the house that won’t need renovation for decades.
Having the layout of this container home promises a lot. It’s a great base for future addons, improvements as you live in it, and new undertakings. Those of you who are dreaming of your family home should definitely look into container homes since they too can be quite spacious and comfortable.
You can’t beat the speed and the simplicity of building a container home, ever!
