Here’s Your Ultimate Cozy Haven, The Log Cabin Perfect For The Upcoming Colder Days

Sharing is caring!

As soon as the late summer kicks in, I switch into a fall mood, desperately waiting for the colder days. Don’t get me wrong, I love all those perks of summer, but I love something even more: sitting by the fire, watching the rain outside, or snowflakes slowly gliding down from the sky.

I like being cozy. I love being in a cozy place.

And above it all, I love checking out cozy houses for getaways. One of such places has me excited for fall weather and approaching winter already.

Just by looking at the photos, I’m ready to snuggle under the blanket and stare into the nature outside.

The lovely cabin with the ultimate cozy vibes I love so much is in Harwinton, Connecticut. So, a nice ride upstate to Connecticut is in order in a few weeks, I guess!

It’s the prototype of a log cabin house in all its glory, with an angled, A-frame roof, a small porch, and the exterior of logs that smells heavenly even throughout the photo.

I love it when they keep things the original, rustic way. I mean, if I’m in the woods, I want to really feel like I’m there. I don’t want modern mansions or white-picket fences. I want things raw, full of forest scents.

The cabin is tucked away in such a wonderful place, surrounded on three sides by Catling Brook creek. I can almost hear the babble of the creek in the morning. What a way to wake up and start the day!

As I mentioned already, the cabin is a typical-style cabin in the woods with so many charming points. One of my favorite parts of any house, not just this cabin is the covered porch. I love sitting outside when it rains, just doing nothing, sipping my tea. Nothing beats that kind of relaxing atmosphere!

Inside the house is exactly what I pictured it to be. Somehow, I always imagine cabins with black and brown sofas. This one right here is the same one as in my imagination. All that it’s missing is a fluffy blanket and me in the corner, snuggled with a book.

The living room in this cabin is quite spacious, and it even features a lovely stone fireplace.

How else would you get warm in here?

I bet the sound of the fire crackling in the evening is the pretties sound in these woods!

Throughout the cabin the wooden beams are visible, adding to the rustic feel and making the place look more personal.

I like how they kept everything so natural, even with added modern elements like the TV. The cabin was built back in the ‘70s and I bet lots of the things we seen in here are original. Maybe not the hardwood floors, but the walls definitely.

The cabin went through a remodeling phase and it got a brand-new kitchen with new cabinets, quartz countertops, and stainless steel appliances. The contrast between the grey and the natural wood works so well, lifting up the atmosphere in the cabin and adding a dash of contemporary.

I always need a big kitchen, no matter if I stay for a day or a week. This one right here is where I know I’d cook some fabulous meals to highlight our stay at the cabin.

The house can accommodate four people which is great for a small family wanting to get away from the city rush. There are two, almost identical bedrooms upstairs, with the same queen-size beds, lovely light grey bedding, and those gorgeous exposed beams and wooden walls.

It’s simple. It’s rustic. And… It’s cozy. Nothing more is needed.

The upstairs has a half-bathroom so you don’t need to walk down in the middle of the night. Some might say there’s nothing special about this tiny room. But, they’re wrong. I haven’t seen a prettier combination of rustic wood and modern grey in a while.

Having these beams against the clean and sharp lines of the white-grey bathroom combination only makes this space more stylish. It’s like they hired a designer to make this bathroom look like it’s from a house design magazine!

This tour was brief but sweet. I absolutely love the style of this cabin and the coziness it guarantees. For me, it’s not the stylish place that makes my vacation. I don’t need modern sofas and top-notch kitchen cabinets that will ease my stay.

I need the energy to be warm and welcoming. I need the ability to picture myself there, all comfy and cozy, even through the pictures.

And that’s exactly how I feel about this cabin.
