What is a classic container house?
Is it a metal box with standard windows and simple furniture? Is it a small sanctuary with a large patio so you can enjoy the outside and just have a small place to hide inside?
Not, the Classic container is this: the modern building transformed from an old box into a contemporary work of art.
The Classic Industrial Chic
Is this even a style? I don’t know, but the container I’m about to show you surely looks like the industrial chic getaway of your dreams.
Whenever I see black metal against wood, my thoughts immediately go to the elements of industrial style. In the past couple of years, the style has become incredibly popular in modern buildings and I see why!
There’s raw beauty in this style and The Classic container is an excellent proof.
Hidden from peering eyes and unwanted visitors, surrounded by nothing but greenery, The Classic Container in Monument, Colorado seems like the ideal oasis to run away from the perils of daily life.
Shiny Lights, Shining Bright A Fireflies
The place looks even better at night, with a bunch of string lights on and the fire pit in the center of the front porch. It’s giving me camping vibes and makes me wanna roast some marshmallows. It’s magical
The Classic is a compact house, but there are a lot of things here that make it worth visiting. You don’t have to be a barbecue lover or want to spend your entire getaway trip sitting on the porch at nightfall.
There’s more to this place and you’re about to see what!
Some Late Night Fun
Don’t get me wrong, but hot tubs are, in my opinion, something you do late at night. Just picture it: the day is over, and there’s nothing left to do but hop into your hot tub and let the worries soak away.
It’s the perfect end of a perfect day. After an hour in hot water, your body will be as soft as chewing candy and more than ready to hit the pillow.
The patio of the Classic container has a lovely hot tub in the corner so you know exactly what you’re getting when you come to visit. Leave hiking around Colorado forests for some other time. This time around, you should chill as much as you can, right in this spectacular hot tub!
The Corner With The Best View
I don’t like a container home if it doesn’t have lots of windows. I don’t know how many times I’ve said it, but a container without windows makes me feel like I’m trapped in a metal box like a sardine. I want airiness, light, and an open concept.
I want modern, not dark and gloomy. This container house is exactly what I have in mind.
The Classic container is one open space without any major dividers between areas. Your living room is in your bedroom, your kitchen is in your living room… The only thing separate from the rest of the house is the bathroom, but we’ll get to it.
Besides the side wall in glass, which I absolutely love, another favorite of mine is the exposed wooden beam on the ceiling against white corrugated metal. Such a contrast! Such beauty!
A Tiny Kitchenette You’ll Be Thankful For
Technically, it’s not a real kitchen. But, if you add a hot plate, you can have a decent kitchen that could help you whip up the meals you’re craving.
The kitchen consists of only a couple of wooden cabinets and, by the looks of them, they’re pretty rustic and worn down. If you ask me, this only increases the charm of the kitchen.
Again, exposed beams on the ceiling make everything look so chic, industrial chic!
Vintage Vibes In The Bathroom
Is it just me or does the corrugated metal wall in the shower have such cool vintage vibes?
Although the rest of the bathroom is pretty simple and neutral, without any major style marks, the shower makes it appear vintage.
This is a great example of how one tiny detail could change the style and the vibe of the entire room. Imagine if this was a bathroom with black steel details. That would be industrial chic, wouldn’t it?
