Meet A Couple Who Found Their Happiness In Living Small In A Tiny THOW

Sharing is caring!

THOW is one of the latest wonders of modern architecture. You either love them or you either despise them and think they’re just trailer trash.

Those people who hate THOWS probably never came inside to check one out. If they did, they would be in love with these tiny houses.

A couple who loved traveling decided it was time to settle down. However, they still wanted the possibility to travel one day, when they’re ready again.

If only there was a way to bring your home along on the go…

The THOW Of Our Dream

Back when dreams were only dreams, a couple in love fantasized about traveling the world together.

But, then, life happened, and some other things got in the way. Traveling was no longer an option, but THOWs were, thank you very much.

Settling down is a big deal, but the couple decided to take things… small. Enter the scene: their very own gooseneck THOW in white with a pretty deck to go along too!

Magic was waiting to happen…

Ally And Truman’s Small Piece Of Heaven

Meet Ally and Truman, the couple from the beginning of our story.

After traveling through the States, checking everything from New York to Los Angeles, All and Truman bought the gooseneck THOW and started customizing it, putting their hearts in it, and living life the small way.

After lots of hard work, the house was finished and it had all they ever needed, but in small doses.

They took their time and made every corner of the THOW look splendid, and the end result was too stunning, as you can see.

Everything Has Its Place

One of the most impressive things about their THOW is the fact that everything has its place. They used every free nook they had and found a purpose for it.

An empty space under the elevated kitchen floor? It can be used for shoes, of course!

Small, box stairs? More storage space, what else?

It’s pretty obvious that this home was well thought out.

As you step inside it, you find yourself in their little living room with two sofas facing each other. As you can guess, there’s a storage place under the sofas too. Who wouldn’t want that?

The kitchen is just one step away and it’s on an elevated floor which adds dimension and seamlessly creates difference between the zones. Although everything is open concept, everything’s still somehow separated from the rest of the house.

The lovely forest green cabinets and open shelves create a trendy setting, a place where you can whip up delicious meals and still make it look like it belongs on some cool Instagram feed.

The Loft With The View

I love lofts! I think they’re the best ways to completely use one space, especially in THOWs. Honestly, I’d be disappointed to see there is a THOW without a loft.

In this case, there are actually two lofts, one for the master bedroom, and there’s this: the guest bedroom loft with the view!

Overlooking the living room, placed right above the bathroom, the loft features a comfy floor bed, ladders that lead you up there, and some flowers to wrap up the whole picture in pretty, shiny paper.

Somewhere Between A Loft And A Room

Is it a loft? Is it a room? No one knows.

Technically, THOWs don’t feature separate rooms. They’re usually open-concept spaces with lofts. Ally and Truman’s bedroom is behind the kitchen, up the box stairs, and it can be called a real room if needed. The only thing that’s missing is the door.

In their bedroom, there’s just enough space to fit a nice queen-sized bed and even a closet!

The deep brown shade of hardwood floors continues up here too, creating that homey feel and adding warmth to the place.

Behind That Pretty Farmhouse Door

Remember that lovely farmhouse-style door you saw under the guest bedroom loft? Well, they’re hiding something, and that something is the bathroom.

Since Ally and Truman’s THOW is completely off-grid, this means their use of water is limited and they don’t have a standard toilet. They opted for the eco-friendly kind and thus made their life more sustainable.

Sustainability is great, but I’m more interested in the lovely cobalt blue vanity with the round black mirror. Those unusual lights and open shelves sure add up trendy points and make this bathroom one of the prettiest sustainable bathrooms ever.
