Isn’t it amazing when we can give old things some new shine? Reusing, recycling, it’s not only good for the environment, but very practical too!
And, that can apply to literally anything! All the way from turning your old worn out sweatshirt into a crop top to housing. Yes, you read that correctly – housing!
Just take a look at this couple that decided to use a couple of old shipping containers and a garage to build themselves a gorgeous new home, alongside a lovely studio they use to rent!
Once you see the interior, you’ll have a hard time believing those were once one of many shipping containers just waiting for someone to give them some new spark! Come check it out!
That Comfy Chair In The Corner Is Calling My Name
This modern living area was once an unused shipping container? What a waste it would’ve been if it stayed so!
Just look at those views! These floor-to-ceiling windows alone are proof that it’s good that those containers were reused, let alone everything inside of this home combined!
I’d love to sit back and relax on that comfy white chair in the corner as I look at the gorgeous outdoors scenery during the day, and invite some company at night! Despite this being a smaller space, with the gray couches and sofas, there’s tons of room for guests to come over!
The Scenery Is The Best Piece Of Decor
Since we’re looking at an open-space area, we find ourselves in the kitchen simply by turning around!
What I love about this space is that it has a white background, with white walls and light furniture, making it easy to add various little decor details! Although, that gorgeous outside scenery stays being the best piece of artwork and decor possible to own!
Just imagine chopping up some food on that white countertop or having lunch at the white island, while watching the sunset and having it paint your place in beautiful colors! That would simply be heaven!
Pocket Bedroom Equals Cozy Bedroom
Next two rooms are both the so-called “pocket rooms”! What’s interesting about them is that you wouldn’t even notice them from outside, then once you go through the doors a tiny and cozy space opens up in front of you!
The first of the two is the primary bedroom.
You might be surprised considering it’s a smaller size but the room actually fits way more than you’d assume! A queen-sized bed, plenty of space around it and a floor-to-ceiling closet opposite the bed! Not bad for a “pocket room”, hmm?
Of course, the bedside table is also there for all the necessities but also for some decor which will make the room even more cozy! Trust me, a tiny lamp with warm lightning can do miracles!
Or, Do You Prefer Pocket Office Areas
The second “pocket room” is the office area.
It’s the same size as the previous one so it can store another bedroom, but the owners decided to turn it into a little office space with a white desk accompanied by a chair.
Of course, this doesn’t have to be, only an office space! I’d love to cozy up in the black chair in the corner with some good book while hot tea waits on the brown stool next to me!
I Love The Mix Of Modern, Minimalist And Industrial
And now, we come up to the studio which looks just as pretty as the main apartment! I love the blend of minimalism, modern takes and a slight hint of industrialism, all taking room in here!
If you ask me about my favorite part, I won’t lie, it’s quite similar to the one from the first apartment – it’s the window and the view! The doors serve as floor-to-ceiling windows as well so you can appreciate the scenery from the comfort of your sheets as soon as you wake up!
But aside from that obvious answer I just love everything about the area opposite the bed! The vinyl player on the white cabinet, the mirror surrounded by the zebra chair and a huge plant. Everything is just so modern and on point!
I already know I’d have an amazing time here playing some records and enjoying the peacefulness with the most gorgeous views!
Then again, considering it’s for rent, I’m thinking about it already, are you?
