When I was a teen, I always fantasized about inheriting some mad amount of money from a distant cousin and buying the villa of my dreams. Yeah, while other girls were dreaming of makeup and boys, I was dreaming about houses.
Mansions, villas, estates in secluded spots on beaches, just like the ones only celebrities owned… I wanted one so badly.
Times changed, and so did my dreams. Still, I like peeking inside those houses and satisfying my curiosity. After all, I’m just an interior designer and houses are my weak spot.

15. Petra Ecclestone
The Formula 1 heiress has one of the biggest and most expensive houses in the States. It’s even bigger than the White House! With its 56,000 square feet of space, The Manor is one of the most elegant houses in LA.
Miss Ecclestone apparently has excellent taste since every room in the house was designed in pastel tones, with lots of decorative elements such as the chandelier with tons of crystal light. Tacky? Not even a little bit!
14. Tigger Woods
Not every celeb can brag about having a private golf field on his property, but Tiger Woods can. After all, he’s an all-time golf champion, and he needs a field to practice.
The mega-mansion has so many entertainment areas, but that’s not what impresses me. It’s the oxygen room that Woods loves to use that helps this mansion stand out among the others. Talk about unusual celebrity requests, right?
13. Oprah Winfrey
Unlike most celebrities, Oprah Winfrey didn’t go over the top with her house. Purchased back in 1998 for 10,5 million dollars, the villa has ONLY four bedrooms. However, there is a guest house on the property, as well as a private gym.
Oprah always did things with great taste, so I’m not surprised her house is designed and decorated with style and… dignity, something lots of celebs lack.
12. Heidi Klum And Seal
Heidi Klum and Seal may not be a couple anymore, but their conjoined decision to buy such a divine house will stay remembered.
The couple bought a villa with plenty of charms, fit for kings and queens. No, really, there is something in here fit for royalty! Apparently, the house came with a fireplace that belonged to none other than Napoleon. Yes, that Napoleon, the short guy from the old painting, thee-hee!
11. Will And Jada
You know you’re rich when you have homes in exotic locations. If anyone earned that much money, it’s Will Smith. Whether you like him or not, he and his wife, Jada, have a lovely summer home in Hawaii, of course!
The villa was bought from a former NBA star, Kareem Abdul Jabar and it stands in the dictionary, next to the explanation of a rich man’s home.
Wow, living next to your private beach makes me wish I was fighting aliens with Tommy Lee Jones, too!

Oh, he’s down to Earth, but his house screams Richy Rich!
Matt Damon has done it in style. Although his villa was a hefty, 15 million dollars, Damon didn’t let the fame and the money take him too far. He’d done everything with taste (at least he hired someone, right?) and the result was a lovely, elegant building.
What I love the most about Damon’s house are the mahogany details throughout it. The man appreciated high quality, what can I say?
9. 50 Cent
I feel like we’re in an episode of MTV Cribs. Do you remember that show? I vividly remember 50 Cent showing off his pride and joy, his new house.
The mansion was bought from Mike Tyson (wow) and has only 25 bathrooms. Not too much, right?
All jokes aside, good ol’ Fifty has one of the biggest and most expensive villas which even has its own nightclub!
8. Alicia Keys
While most celebrity houses are traditional buildings, the house of Alicia Key is an architectural marvel. Named the Razor house, it’s a fast-forward design with angled walls, sharp edges, round parts, and lots of glass.
Keys surely knew how to invest her money. A house like this one won’t become outdated even in a couple of decades.
7. Naomi Campbell
No matter if you’re a fan or not, you can’t deny that Naomi Campbell is a living legend. Her Kenyan home is also legendary, resembling a traditional hut.
What’s so special about Cambell’s house isn’t only the location. It’s the symbiosis of indoor and outdoor living areas that makes you feel you’re out all the time. The house is so breezy and light-colored, a true beauty among the standard mansions you see here.

Drake’s skyrocketing fame guaranteed he’d splurge on a mega-mansion. And he surely didn’t fail.
One of the most impressive houses was built on Drake’s 7-million-dollar land at a record speed. He’s one of the rare celebs who allowed fans to enter the house and tour it when it was done.

Celebrities don’t usually pick nonstandard houses like rustic barns, but Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher aren’t your average celebs.
Instead of splurging on luxury and 20 bedrooms, they won’t ever use, Mila and Ashton made a clever move and invested in their own barnhouse they call the Cuckoo Farm. Their property is completely solar-powered, sustainable, and created using recycled materials.

One of my favorite Bonds, Pierce Brosnan, cherishes the classic style with a beach house in Malibu.
It’s a typical luxurious mansion opened to the ocean and its private beach. There are five bedrooms, fourteen bathrooms, a saltwater pool, a screening room, a private gym, and a view that boasts serenity.
3. Ellen DeGeneres
In my opinion, Ellen’s Montecito villa is the house with the most character on this list. It was designed back in the 1930s and inspired by Italian villas. Ellen and her wife paid a hefty sum for the house, making a cozy home out of it.
From the outside, the villa is pretty rustic, with lots of stone, barrel, and terracotta details. But, on the inside, it’s a contemporary haven with charm.
2. Beyonce And Jay-Z
Who wants to know where one of the most influential couples lives? Of course, I do!
Beyonce’s and Jay-Z’s villa looks like a small city rather than a normal house. Their Bel Air home cost a whooping 90 million dollars! The house is a cascading complex of buildings with not one, but four pools!
I don’t know if any other celeb has more than one pool.
1. Bill Gates
I mean, who else? Sure, there is Musk, but Gates has become the old-money kind of guy. He’s been rich ever since I knew who he was.
Bedrooms, movie theatres, gyms, entertainment rooms, numerous bathrooms… None of them are what makes Gates’ Xanadu 2.0 house so special. This guy has its own trampoline room and even a stream for salmon trout. I think I’ve heard enough.
