This Bold Container Proves That Not Everything Is As It Seems To Be

Sharing is caring!

Be prepared to have your definition of a minimalistic approach changed!

I just saw a container house online and I had to dig deeper to find out more about it because I got so invested. Minimalism is not my style, but that doesn’t mean it does not impress me. It does. It’s incredible!

And this container house in Asheville, North Carolina is more than impressive!

It’s a clutter-free heaven with minimalism written all over it, clean areas, sharp lines, and simplicity at its finest.

I can’t remember the last time I saw a house that was so simple and yet so stunning.

The Incredibly Fresh Container

Container house… I forgot to add that!

A piece of metal that was once used to transport goods was given a new life. Instead of being packed with things, this container is now an Asheville house living a minimalist lifestyle.

At first, I thought this was a regular trailer home, but I didn’t have my glasses on. You’ll understand the confusion because the style does remind a bit of trailer park homes with wire fences and small decks.

This gorgeous beauty from Asheville has red corrugated walls and a wooden deck with two zones for relaxation. Even from looking at the exterior, you could tell this small house would be a delight.

Everything’s so white, bright, and clean, with a pop of color here and there just to make things interesting. I mean, they could’ve easily gone with a white or grey sofa, but they chose royal blue that stands out in the room and creates a wow effect.

This living room area is snug and cozy, a place where you can hide in the evening and watch a movie before you hit the bed.

Keep in mind that container houses aren’t normally too big, especially if they consist of only one container. Here, take a look at the photo taken from the entrance of the left side of the container house.

There’s a small living room area and a bedroom, all in one part of one big, long room.
There are no walls, curtains, or dividers. Your bed is right there, a few steps away from the day area.

There was just enough space to place a bed in this corner. I believe this is a small queen, ideal for one, but two can sleep in it if it’s necessary,

The bright and neutral color palette continues in this part of the container. However, interesting details such as the map of the world picture on the wall and the chandelier above the bed make everything more appealing.

What’s On The Other Side?

Oh, not much… Just an awesome bathroom and a kitchen you’d be happy to have in your own home!

Although the exterior of the container is red and bold, the inside of it is pretty calm and soothing with all its whiteness.

The kitchen is also dominantly white with some details you’re gonna love.

This is more of a kitchenette than a kitchen, but it’s got a tiny microwave oven and a small fridge to satisfy your basic needs during your stay.

The thing I love the most about this part of the container is the use of wood as the countertops and the floating shelves instead of upper cabinets, which are, if you look closely, raw planks. If this doesn’t add character to the room, what does?

A few steps on the right will lead you into a spacious bathroom, something we all aren’t used to in container houses.

Once again, all white, bright, and clean, and that’s what I love about bathrooms. I guess I’m a neat freak because when I see colorful bathrooms I instantly wonder if it’s hiding any dirt or dust. White shows everything, and keeping hygiene in such bathrooms is a must.

This container house is blessed to have such a nice walk-in shower with a glass barn door. The designer was clever enough to use that extra space in the bathroom to add a closet for storage. If you didn’t notice, there aren’t many storage spots throughout the house, so this bathroom closet is the biggest one.

Somehow everything adapted so well and there’s still plenty of space to move around and stay comfortable.

I could picture this container house as a weekend getaway place for people who love staying outside and just need a place to crash in at night.

I could also picture it somewhere in the woods, where nothing but wild nature surrounds the house, pushing the people who stay in there to go out and breathe in the unspoiled environment.

I could picture myself spending a few days in here. Could you?
