I’m Buzzing With Excitement To Show You Every Bit Of This Beehive House

Sharing is caring!

Nah, you’re not drunk and the screen of your mobile phone or laptop isn’t faulty.

That’s really a crooked house and I’m buzzing with excitement about it!

The walls are angled, the shape resembles a beehive, and the atmosphere is bustling with energy. In the sea of unusual buildings and unique houses, the Beehive House is an absolute stunner and surely deserves first place.

At first, I thought there would be so much unused space inside. But, I was wrong. And I was surprised. On top of everything, I was blown away by this creation and I just know you’d be too!

Is That A House Or A Beehive? It’s Both!

Admit it: if you only heard the name and didn’t see the photos, you wouldn’t be interested in spending a night at the Beehive house? I know most people would think there are beehives inside or outside the house.

The thing is, this house only resembles a beehive. There are no actual bees on the site unless you attract them with fresh fruit or flowers.

The inspiration for the house was also found in the Japanese tea house. So, yes, you can say a true creative mind came up with this tiny home.

The thing I love the most about the exterior isn’t just the wooden shingles. It’s the windows that guarantee plenty of natural light during the day. When you have unusual houses, you have to make sure they don’t lack the basics such as the natural light coming in.

Although the house is micro in size, using special solutions such as high ceilings improves the perception of the space inside.

How Do You Feel About Cathedral Ceilings?

The cathedral ceiling in the living room makes the room appear bigger than it already is. While, indeed, it’s just a small seating area with cubicle tables and an interesting red carpet.

The Austin Beehive

From this angle, the living room looks even bigger. It can easily accommodate several people to hang out, enjoy each other’s company, and stay in this special tiny house.

I’ve checked my fair share of unique houses, but the road hasn’t led me to Austin to check out the Beehive. Texas, here I come!

Everything You Need And More

The Beehive house is such a beauty and I can’t express how stunned I am with its design. I love every quirky angle of it and every vibrant detail.

The kitchen is, by far, my favorite of them all!

It’s the angled windows that make this part of the house so pretty, right? I mean, have you ever seen such a thing before? Even the windows in this house are special!

The Bottom Cabinets That Are Absolutely Divine

What I also love are the bottom cabinets. Kitchens usually have cabinets up and down and it somehow makes the room appear smaller. I love the spaciousness of this kitchen and how much light it’s got thanks to the lack of upper cabinets and big windows int he room.

The open shelves are such a great solution for people who want to visually increase the space and don’t have too many things.

Considering the house is tiny, the kitchen has to be the central point of the house.

Well, I don’t mind being around this gorgeous pinewood kitchen at all. I’m sure it’s a place of gatherings that makes everyone so warm at heart.

There’s Even Upstairs!

Once I had a client who had a house with some kind of a tower addition and the tower was just empty space with windows. It was such a shame that he didn’t ask for a loft of something to use that space. I always remember that house when I come across something similar.

Fortunately, the entire space of the Beehive house is used, and the upstairs is reserved for the bedroom and the office.

If I had to design this house, I’d do things the exact same way. And I’d definitely put the bed in the same position next to the window. The idea of waking up and seeing nature outside the first thing in the morning is priceless!

I wouldn’t use this bed just for sleeping. It’s too pretty just to sleep in it. I’d be snuggling in it with a great book, sipping tea, and watching birds flying outside.

Enough For A Tiny Office

Besides the bedroom area, the upstairs has enough room for an office overlooking the living room downstairs. For a micro house, having plenty of space to add an office space is more than incredible.

I Bet You Didn’t Expect This Bathroom

To wrap up, we end our tour in the bathroom which is, yet again, full of uniqueness.

It’s adapted to fit the space, so don’t be surprised by the slanted walk-in shower glass doors. That’s a great example of how a designer projects the room according to the given space.

The bathroom has clean lines and neutral colors. I’m a big fan of the grey against the natural wood color. This only makes the bathroom more welcoming and cozy.

The Beehive house is definitely a buzzing place to be when your thoughts are whirring and you want to unwind before you hop on another exciting flight through the meadow of life.
