Wake Up, Adventurists, It’s Time For A New Cabin Adventure

Wake Up, Adventurists, It’s Time For A New Cabin Adventure

Sharing is caring!

A Cabin in the woods in the middle of nowhere sounds like the beginning of every bad horror movie.

But, I guess that depends on the cabin because this one here promises the best cozy forest experience!

The moment I saw this little cabin on the Skykomish River near Gold Bar, Washington, I knew it was a treat waiting to be discovered.

For me, the cabin experience is about spending time in a tiny place with almost no signs of civilization, reaching out to nature and becoming one with the humankind we used to be.

Truth be told, we all need a long vacation away from technology and all the perks of our modern lives.

What better place to reconnect with good old times than staying in this wonderful little Washington retreat?

The road is bumpy, sometimes flooded, sometimes covered in mud, requiring a 4×4 vehicle, but it will get you there. Those who are persistent will get to the goal which is at the end of the road: the wonderful tiny cabin reserved for adventurists only.

Yep, it’s that time of the year again, when we light fires, grab rubber boots, and raincoats, and listen out for the leaves hustling below our feet. It’s that time of year to run in the rain, shut the doors behind you as the raindrops keep hitting on them, and the scent of freshly brewed herbal tea spreads across the room.

That’s the feeling I get from checking out this house. That’s the feeling I want to experience.

When I was younger, my partner and I used to go on hiking trips. Our little adventures were always stationed in tiny cabins far from civilization, just like the one we’re checking out today.

Beauty Only A Few People Come To See

Doesn’t this old-fashioned cabin remind you of coziness that’s hard to reach today? We all live urban lives. Rarely does anyone have time to snuggle in a distant cabin with your loved one or enjoy the company of yourself. si

With its rustic appearance and wood siding and the door that looks like it was reused from another place, the Skykomish River cabin is a beauty that only a few people see.

Nothing But Coziness Inside

On my hiking adventures with my partner, we used to seek places to stay that were bare naked inside. That doesn’t have anything to do with the fact our budget was quite low. We truly enjoyed the simplicity of cabins with no Internet, no running water, and old-styled furnaces.

The Skykomish cabin is a bit more modern than what we were used to, but it’s still pretty raw.

The basis of the cabin is one big living room with zones. It’s ideal for a couple seeking forest adventures and a place to hideout when the storm comes rushing in.

The living room area is basically one comfy sofa in anthracite gray opposite the wood-burning furnace which makes the room warm and cozy.

Rocking Chair Of My Dreams

If I were an older gal, I know I’d be sitting in this chair all day long, knitting and enjoying the sound of the fire. Am I getting old because that sounds too appealing? Guess we all change…

All I know is that luxurious vacations don’t seem too wonderful for me anymore. I’m looking for simple things, cozy rentals, and staycations where I can whip up my delicious recipes and share them with my loved ones in comfortable silence.

Fit For A Quick Bite

This kitchen may not be much, but I can see myself cooking in here some fast meals before we go outside hiking, foraging, and simply enjoying the surroundings.

Happy Vibes

I love how spacious the cabin is, allowing the creator to put in a dining nook as well. It’s right behind the tiny kitchen, and right next to the stairs that lead to the loft.

The Kid Inside Me Is Thrilled

Although I’m not the biggest fan of heights, bedroom lofts wake up the kid inside me and make me so excited to sleep in them.

This loft is one of the prettiest I’ve ever seen all because of that gorgeous painted glass window. It’s a picture of a tree in the fall. Just think how lovely the area looks when the trees finally start changing colors and that tree from the window becomes real!

Years have taught me that the best adventures come when you least expect it. Well, in this case, I’m expecting a great one from this cabin hidden in one of the many Washington forests.
