Imagine being close enough to the city to grab a coffee or enjoy a night out, but far enough to immerse yourself in the calm of the woods.
Imagine coming up here alone or with your partner, just to relax and finally experience that cabin magic everyone’s talking about.
Yeah, it sounds like the dream, doesn’t it?
From the inviting wrap-around porch—ideal for sipping cocoa on cool evenings—to the open, airy interior, this cabin beckons you to relax and unwind.
Let’s uncover the hidden gems that give this cabin its charm, making it feel like a home away from home—whether you’re here for a weekend or a lifetime.
Built For Sipping Cocoa On The Porch
Nestled among towering trees, the Brookside cabin is your slice of the tranquility cake, just 15 minutes away from Asheville. You’re close to civilization, but still just far enough to experience nature the way you’re supposed to.
The inviting cabin design simply speaks your name and lures you into spending a couple of nights inside without worrying about what’s gonna happen tomorrow.
The house comes as a tiny haven with a great interior, and an even lovelier exterior. I absolutely adore this wrap-around porch that was built for sipping hot cocoa under the blanket on chilly evenings.
And, when the night gets too cold, you can always rush inside and find out what else the Brookside has to offer you.
What’s A Cabin Without A Fireplace?
The great thing about this cabin is that the inside is one big space, without any walls or dividers I love a cabin with an open space concept more than anything! It makes the entire house feel cozier and more friendly.
Of course, the first thing that catches my eye is the fireplace and the wall behind it. Talk about doing accent walls, huh? The fireplace is an absolute must in every cabin, so I don’t see the reason why it shouldn’t be featured here. Without it, this whole room would be just… sad.
A Quick Bite And You’re Out
Okay, I certainly didn’t expect the pop of green inside, but now I see it… I think it’s quite lovely! This almost olive green pairs wonderfully with the wood everything, from ceilings to floor.
Another surprise was the cooking station by the door. As you can see in the previous photo, there is the rest of the kitchen on another wall, but the stove and the microwave are on the other one in case you need a quick bite and simply head outside.
And let’s be honest, who doesn’t love the idea of cooking up a quick snack and then stepping right outside to enjoy it under the open sky? It’s like the cabin’s way of saying, “Why not enjoy nature while you wait for your microwave popcorn?” Talk about convenience with a side of fresh air!
See, There Is The Rest Of The Kitchen
… and the rest of the kitchen is really pretty.
I’ll forever be that girl who loves wooden cabinets and granite countertops. Those are like the must-haves of every wood cabin.
There are a couple of things I enjoy about this part of the cabin, and the first one is the window above the sink. There is a dishwasher in case you need it, but I find washing dishes while watching what’s going on outside truly therapeutic.
Also, didn’t expect the combination of grey and wood would work out so nicely, but these dining room chairs are here to prove me otherwise.
The Tub Nook
The Brookside cabin features one lovely bathroom that’s pretty and knows it!
This simple room in the house takes relaxation to the next level with its stunning tub nook, nestled perfectly by the window with stained glass. Imagine how pretty the lights are in this bathroom once the sun shines through the stained glass bits!
My favorite part of the bathroom, if we exclude the wood siding on the walls, is the bathtub nook. The tiny white tiles are so pretty against the walls and they create such a cozy nook, perfect for late-night bubble baths.
And with a tub like this, you’ll never want to leave—maybe just a rubber ducky to complete the vibe!
Up The Stairs We Go
The Brookside cabin has one master bedroom suite up those stairs you already saw, and it’s a quite spacious one. This gallery has plenty of room for a nice, queen bed, some dressers, and even a washer and dryer unit in one of the nooks behind the curtains.
There’s plenty of natural light coming inside thanks to strategically placed windows.
With all that natural light streaming in, you’ll feel like you’re waking up in a luxury resort every day—minus the overpriced coffee.
