Coming upon certain styles of homes often makes us immediately assume if they’re traditional, modern or something in between.
What do you think of when you see this log cabin located in Washington, US? It’s nothing but traditional right? Well, you’re partly right, it does have that rustic cabin feel. However, you’re not fully right, as it also has some interesting surprises!
Starting from the porch, to the interior, there are bits and pieces of this log cabin which have that something that distances it from the usual rustic log vibe. So keep on reading and tell me if you like what you see or would you rather opt for the completely traditional look!
Let’s Switch The Interior Furniture With The Exterior
Do you see what I mean by saying how the non traditional appearance starts from the porch? How often do you see almost an entire living room outside of the house? Not often I assume!
In one corner, we have two cushioned chairs around a tiny table so I can confidently say this would be the hangout area! I can imagine having some coffee with a friend here while the wind breeze passes by. Or simply relaxing on my own after a tasty lunch!
The lunch I just mentioned wouldn’t be very far either! Yup, there’s a long, wooden dining table accompanied by two benches on this porch as well! This would certainly allow gorgeous views while eating some delicious meals!
And where are those meals going to be made? Well, do I have a surprise for you around the corner!
How Do You Feel About Cooking In Nature
Hey, it’s an outside grill and it’s just waiting for you to make the yummiest of barbecue dinners ever!
Isn’t this layout amazing? It’s a fact that we should be more connected with nature and leave our phones and laptops for a little bit, so why not simply take everything outside?
However, this is where we stop with the outdoors furniture and take a look at what’s left to decorate the interior!
Cozy Up Amidst These Wooden Walls
Worry not, you wouldn’t be sleeping outside but in a comfy bed surrounded by the wooden walls making the cabin ten times more cozy!
Aside from the walls, what adds even more to that cozy and homey feel is undoubtedly the fireplace! They don’t add just that literal warmth, but the aesthetic one too with their look and the sound of fire and wood crackling!
I wish there was a way to use the fireplace in summer time too! I’d love for it to cozy up my home all year long!
Sitting Areas Next To The Windows Are Always The Favorites
Opposite the bed, two round and soft chairs create a cozy little area, alongside the bench with the fur cover. All those sitting areas are conveniently placed right below the windows, making them the perfect place to sit at and relax.
Maybe with a hot cup of coffee in the morning while looking at the sunrise, or perhaps with a good book and raindrops dripping down your window in the evening.
Did you think that was all when I was mentioning unusual things about this traditional seeming log cabin though?
Allow Yourself To Relax In This Sauna
You were mistaken then! Cause this little cabin holds a whole sauna!
Yup, if you’re craving some extra relaxation and serenity, just get inside your private sauna and enjoy your little home spa!
So, what do you think?
Are these tiny differences from traditional log cabins something you would like? Or do you prefer to stick to the basics? I’d love to know your thoughts!
