I’m always excited when I see container houses ‘cause I’m delighted by their flawless design in a small area. And, I always wonder what hidden and useful gem I will find this time.
The first thing you will definitely notice is this lovely porch with modern details, beautified with green plants around. What definitely pops into my mind is that I’d have to spend all my summer here!
The marvelous, and one of my favorites, combination of wood and black color extends throughout the house, inside and out.
We have to put more effort into the approach to the house, ‘cause that’s what people notice first when they come to us. We always strive to make a good first impression, including when decorating the porch.
The rule of minimalism is to have as few well-chosen items as possible.
Wooden beams that cover the porch are certainly enchanting. Here it would still be useful to pull the white curtains and let them fall, then tie them lightly on the side to give a touch of privacy while we sit comfortably on the porch.
A big plus for the summer heats are certainly these ventilators attached to the ceiling.
A white low coffee table and a flower stand definitely add a modern touch to the porch decor. It has an unusual design and fits nicely with wooden chairs. An ideal place to drink your first morning coffee with the chirping of birds!
But the most amazing thing on the porch is this little black sink with barbecue equipment, and the black grill next to it.
The sink next to the grill is a great idea. When we prepare meals outside the kitchen we always go into the kitchen and take what we need. This way we have everything in one place. It’s also convenient to clean up immediately after cooking, don’t you think?
Just look how this room exudes with comfort and airiness. Bamboo blinds on the windows around the bed are giving this space both privacy and good lighting.
A shelf next to the bed, up to the ceiling and above the window is a perfect idea for saving space. You can arrange your things there and make it look like a decoration.
But shelves mean more frequent dusting. Luckily, there aren’t many of them!
A black lamp hanging by the bed is excellent for reading at night. I’m speaking for all those passionate readers when I say that good lighting by the bed is essential.
Although due to the visible traces of water, I think that black is not the best choice for the bathroom.
But, black cabinets, drawers, and hangers add a touch of luxury to this space.
A detail that particularly caught my eye are these small towel holders. It’s so unique and useful. You can put face towels there, and not mix them with the others. I will definitely have to look for one!
Here comes the living room. The center of every home! The place where we hang out with our loved ones.
Each of us spends the most time in the living room, whether we are watching TV, resting or talking with friends. And, all we want on those lazy weekends is a comfortable couch, right?
The brown, leather sofa fits perfectly with the wooden details around the house. But, there is something that is more interesting- a round, wood coffee table. So simple yet so chic!
Details like this coffee table and the black little fur rug under the table make this home exactly what it is, a minimalist, yet modern oasis.
It’s a bit inconvenient to watch TV while eating because it’s right above this dining bar. Maybe it would be better to put the TV on a small commode in a corner.
The place where we prove our love to our loved ones with food must always be well equipped. Just like this kitchen. So elegant yet so purposeful. Except, I would add an oven under the hob.
Black details, like all around the house, give this home a special charm. I like dark colors on details, like handles on white cabinets, that look luxurious.
Avoid dark colors when it comes to surfaces like shelves or commode. Dust is most visible on them!
I love spaces that exude luxury and warmth at the same time. Somehow I always feel welcome in those types of homes, and this house is exactly that!
Whether you come for the weekend or longer, alone or with company, this tiny container home will not let you down.
