8 Stunning Farmhouse-Style Living Rooms That Will Have Your Soul Healed The Second You Walk In

Sharing is caring!

I think that we can all agree that nothing beats a little cabin getaway.

It’s the perfect place for you to relax, decompress, and just take a well-deserved rest from your everyday life.

I mean, just imagine yourself sitting back on a comfy couch, listening to the fire cracking in the fireplace and reading your favorite book, or binge-watching your show. Can it get any better than that?

Well, what if I told you that you can have this immaculate cabin feel in your own home?

Thanks to the farmhouse style that has gotten tons of popularity as of late, people began incorporating the aesthetics of a cabin into their city homes and apartments. Spoiler alert: it is absolutely stunning.

1. Warm And Cozy

One of the most distinguishing features of the farmhouse aesthetic are the wooden elements.

This living room does so by adding wooden beams to the ceilings as well as the edges of the room. Not only does this frame the room in the most pleasing way ever, but it also gives you that coziness that everybody loves.

And I love the fact that the rest of the room has a lighter color scheme. It perfectly contrasts with that deep brown wood.

The simple yet stunning decorations really tie in the place perfectly and the fact that the fireplace is nicely tucked in in a stone corner really takes the farmhouse style to the finish line.

2. The Finest Of The Whites

Another material that this style of home absolutely loves is stone.

Our next living room implements that with the stone framing of the fireplace that stretches from the floor all the way to the ceiling. As you can see, it also has those stunning wooden beams that are connected to the fireplace by that little shelf.

The rest of the living room, including the couch, shelves, and the walls have the cleanest of the whites you will ever see.

Thanks to the hardwood floors, however, you still have the perfect balance of dark and light colors.

Choosing the metal light fixture is, in my opinion, the best design for this living room. The icing on the cake, if you will.

3. A Modern Take

Since personal taste is a thing that I always encourage, I decided to also include a more modern farmhouse living room. This is to show you that, with a little bit of creativity, everything is possible.

So, if you aren’t a fan of the wooden beams or the stone fireplace but love to see wood in the living room, why not make a frame for your fireplace out of it? ‘Cause that’s what this living room has.

The center of attention is definitely the wooden fireplace that also houses the large flatscreen TV. But what will also call your attention are those huge wooden windows that flood the whole space with tons of natural light.

I can already see myself turning on my favorite Christmas movie, starting a fire, and getting cozy on that comfy couch while the snow quietly falls outside.

Absolutely magical!

4. That Cabin Feel

If you want your farmhouse to have more of that cabin feel, then you will definitely love this one.

I think we can all agree that the centerpiece of this living room is the fireplace. It is absolutely breathtaking. Even though the white wooden planks make up most of its construction, those rustic wooden beams really steal the show.

They are such a statement piece of the entire room and the fact that they match the coffee table in that luxurious lounge area is just an added bonus.

The feel of this living room is definitely more towards the minimalistic style but you can’t argue with the fact that it is still incredibly warm and cozy.

And if you aren’t a fan of the wall mount, feel free to put your favorite artwork up there, I am sure that it will take the space to another dimension.

5. Can’t Go Wrong With Vintage

Calling all my vintage lovers ‘cause you don’t want to miss out on this one.

This is one of those living rooms that definitely belongs in those Indie films. The wooden panels that decorate the upper parts of the walls are such a unique addition to the room. And just look at those massive wooden beams. Stunning!

The furniture of the living room is toned down but still cozy which I absolutely love. And that modern corner fireplace proves that you don’t need a lot of space for enjoyment.

Now, saving the best for last, let’s talk about that breathtaking vintage cabinet!

It truly is a statement piece like no other. From its incredible color to all those dainty details, who needs a TV when you can look at that the entire time? And, not only is it so beautiful, but it is also super functional as you can also store your things in it!

There really isn’t a single bad side to this little piece of art!

6. As Chic As Can Be

Our next living room is for all the maximalists out there.

Let’s start with the obvious: the wooden beams. Even though there are so many of them, they still managed to keep it balanced with the rest of the interior. Oh, and doesn’t this living room feel as if you were in a magical treehouse?

The massive size of this farmhouse living room is perfectly designed to house so many items while keeping the space nice and tidy. I mean, not only do you have a chic lounge area but you also have a little office corner in the back of the room. How cool is that?

And just look at that yellow rug that serves as a perfect pop of color!

This living room is definitely the show-stopper of the entire house.

7. Moody, But The Good Kind

There is nothing wrong with being drawn to darker colors, and this living room serves as proof.

The wood used for the main part of the interior is this dark, moody brown that is perfectly complimented by those lighter wooden panels. And I absolutely adore those galleries that are watching over the main space. They are absolutely perfect for those of you who like to host extravagant home parties!

The large glass wall is, in my book, always welcomed in a living room. But when I saw the stunning view that this one showcases, it almost brought me to tears.

Oh, and let’s not forget that gorgeous fireplace that is made out of natural stone tiles. It matched the vibes of the living room so well!

The living room doesn’t feature too much furniture but I see that as a good thing. It allows you to let your imagination flow so that you can design the living room of your dreams.

8. The Scandinavian Way

Finishing off our list is this stunning white living room that has the ultimate Scandinavian feel.

It has everything a living room needs! From a cozy L-shaped couch and a wooden chair to a flatscreen TV and a fireplace. But what I absolutely love about this room is just how well those white and browns go together.

The white wooden panels and the white furniture paired with the dark floor, tables, and shelve, you really can’t go wrong with that combination. It’s as if all of them are dancing this synchronized dance, giving you the best living room experience ever.

I can definitely see a loving family having their little get-together in this room, sharing nothing but good times, fun memories, and tons of laughs. If this sounds like your family, make sure to take the design of this living room into consideration for your next remodel!

Final Word

That concludes the list of the best farmhouse living rooms.

I really do believe that the space you spend the most time in needs to have the best design sothat you can have the rest you so desperately need after a long day.

Plus, when you think about it, having a living room like these ones in your own home is basically a little vacation every time you come home! And who doesn’t want that?!

What do you think? Can you see yourself living in any of these cute and cozy living rooms or do you have another one in mind?
