If I Were A Senior Going Into Retirement, I’d Want To Live My Golden Years In This Container House

Sharing is caring!

Imagine every government takes good care of its seniors. Whoever goes to retirement and has an unsolved housing question, gets a tiny home to live in.

Wouldn’t that be great? Our seniors could live their golden years in their own piece of building, a cozy retreat where no one could bug them.

A place they can call their home.

A place like this:

This shipping container home is an L-sized building transformed from an old container using proper insulation to make it a cozy place to live in. The container comes with a patio out in the front, with lots of plants, and some cool seating spots.

It’s a place where our seniors can be active and enjoy time spent outside. But, it’s also a place where relaxation is at maximum.

In the middle of the patio is the good old-fashioned grill made of red bricks. Needless to say, meals out of such fireplaces are more delicious than any other BBQ.

What I love about this container house is that the designer included a full kitchen. No one really likes a kitchenette and doesn’t use it unless it’s really necessary. The generation that retires these days are boomers, and we all know how they feel about having good-quality meals.

Whipping up one in such a kitchen would be… a piece of cake!

I love the open shelves in the corner in the natural wood shade. You know how I feel about wood and white. I absolutely adore it!

The rest of the house is as bright as the kitchen with a pop of vibrant colors that lift up the atmosphere. These lights, as well as the armchair, sure add retro points. Well, considering the age group of out seniors, these are the exact same styles as they were used to in their youth.

Retro is back, big times, and I love how such details work so well in the space, creating a happy surrounding.

This container comes with a small bathroom, of course. It’s completely adjusted to older folks living in here with a walk-in shower.

No hard-to-get-in-and-out-tubs. No such things! Every senior household should have a walk-in shower where you can easily put an additional stool for them to rest and maybe a handle to help them out.

This bathroom has lovely powder-colored tiles that are so charming in such a small place.

Lastly, the zone of retreat, the bedroom:

It’s a traditional bedroom with a wooden frame bed and lovely blue bedding. What’s so great about this bedroom is that the bed is facing the window, creating the best possible view when you wake up in the morning.

This is such a sweet little retreat for people who need rest in their golden years.

If only there was a government, a country, someplace on Earth where our dear seniors could get such cozy homes for free.

Life would be so much better!
