Romance Is Not Dead And It Still Lives In This Tiny House By The River

Sharing is caring!

Romance… such a simple joy in life, and yet such a difficult thing to achieve or receive from your loved one.

Some say that romance is dead.

I say: you don’t know where to look for it.

Romance isn’t just expensive dinners with a view and red roses. Romance isn’t pricey gifts you buy each other.

It’s so much more!

Romance is finding joy in each other, in even the simplest ways. Romance is just breathing next to each other and enjoying the warmth of your partner’s body.

Romance is not dead. It lives in this tiny house by the river, waiting for you to discover it!

Rediscovering The Romance

The tiny house that promises such an incredible dose of romance is actually a tiny cabin by the river in Waynesville, North Carolina.

I agree, it’s not usually a location a couple seeking romance would pick at first, but hear me out. Waynesville cabins by the river have so much to offer.

For starters, when you arrive at the location, you’re greeted by three cabins, similar in style and vibes. They’re surrounded by a semi-private fence on three sides, with access to the river on the fourth one.

There’s room in all three tiny houses, but the one I’m about to show you is my favorite.

This charming little getaway is painted in a lovely mint green shade matching the color of the roof. It already gives out charming, shabby chic vibes. When there’s a little porch included, as in this house, I’m all for it. It has been my dream ever since I was a little girl to have a house with a porch.

You know the idea, don’t you? Rocking in a chair on my own porch at sunset sounds wonderful!

Technically, it’s not a rocking chair, but at least there is room to sit down and have a cup of coffee. This is an area where I could see myself and my partner having a romantic dinner with fireflies buzzing around, string lights blinking, and the sound of the river floating through the air.

Ah, it’s such a wonderful atmosphere at night here!

Open For More Romance

The romance doesn’t start and end outside the tiny house I’m showing you guys. The house, named Hunter, has such a cozy feeling, inviting you to snuggle inside with your partner, watch Netflix, and chill. Yeah, Gen Z and Millennials seem to have the same definition of romance as this one, right?

Most of the house is based on the ground floor, while the bedroom can be reached by climbing the stairs. It’s an open-space room with a sitting area, a kitchen with an island, and a secluded bathroom and one bedroom in the back.

Everything’s in the same color palette, brown and beige, but not in a dull way. Honestly, I can’t remember the last time I saw beige furniture and room decorations that weren’t… lifeless! Tiny house Hunter has the much-needed warmth which can only be achieved with beige and brown tones.

I have to admit that I have a lot of favorite parts of this tiny home. It’s the stone kitchen bar/ island, electric fireplace decorated in wooden planks, leather chairs, and rugs that make this room special according to my standards. Oh, and let’s not forget the divine hardwood floors in such a small house! Perfection!

The kitchen is something I like to call a typical American kitchen. It’s brown wood, stainless steel appliances, and a marble countertop. See, typical USA!

No, but seriously, I see no flaws with this kitchen since it adapts to the whole concept of the house very well. You have so much room to cook romantic dinners together, casually bumping into each other (you know, since it is a tiny house), laughing, trying the sauce your partner made…

It’s a textbook example of a perfect house getaway, isn’t it?

Hunter has two bedrooms. But, since you’re staying with your loved one, you’ll be using just the one, of course. While both bedrooms are quite lovely and comfortable, my choice is the upstairs one.

It’s in the loft and features a floor bed against an accent wall in the same hardwood planks used for the floor. Don’t you just wanna jump on this cloud of comfiness and have a… tickle fight?

What Else Is On The Menu?

You mean besides the romance?

Oh, geez, I don’t know… How about some more romance?

As you already know, the Hunter house is placed next to two other houses, so it has some common spots for everyone to use, such as the hot tub.

As stated on their Airbnb, other guests won’t bother you if you decide to have some fun time in the hot tub. Still, bear in mind that the tub belongs to everyone, so use it reasonably.

Other common areas are the garden and the fire pit area, perfect for tasting s’mores at night.

I can already hear the fire crackling as my partner opens a bag of marshmallows to feed me. It’s cheesy, I know, but it’s my kind of romance.

If you’re more on the traditional side of romance, holding hands while gazing into each other’s eyes, you can try a stroll by the river.

Nature can be so romantic!

Is the Hunter house worthy of your time? Absolutely! Will it check all your boxes for a great romantic getaway? Most certainly! I fell in love with the whole area, not to mention the house that’s so neatly done that it reminds me of a dollhouse!

Now, all I gotta do is convince my non-romantic partner to pack his bags and drive to North Carolina. That’s gonna be a piece of cake once he sees the Hunter house!
